63 Pontiac Grand Prix Coupe, Grenadier Red (cranberry) exterior, white interior. 8 lugs. 303hp 389 4bbl, original engine & transmission. Very sharpe looking car. Large car, about 17 ft long and 4100 lbs. Driver quality. Car was resprayed about 15yrs ago. Some chips and scratches here an there, not bad. Car originally sold in Colorado. I have paperwork from Pontiac registry showing the original manufacturing data.
56K original miles, 389 4bbl, 3sp turbohydramatic. Console, buckets. I am 3rd owner, have owned since 2016 and have put 19K miles on car during that time. I bought it from a dealer in Minnesota. I have all receipts of mechanical repairs or upgrades done by me. Car has a valid VT inspection through 7/31/25 which has expired.
Started a project this year to replace automatic with a borg warner 4 sp from a 63 donor car grand prix. 4sp has been removed from donor car. first and 2nd gears in the manual have to be replaced along with synchros and tranny needs rebuild. have all parts to complete rebuild and a shop willing to do it. The existing automatic has a slow leak in the pan gasket but otherwise works and drives fine.
car now needs rocker panel work under both drivers and passenger doors and rewelding in the torque boxes above the rear axle. Project is now more than what I planned and local shops cannot accommodate me till next spring/summer. Regardless, car drives fine and I take it on road trips. To make room for another vehicle, I need to sell the car in next 45 days.
I do have a donor car that is included and parts can be lifted from. The donor car also has a 389 4 bbl and the 4sp manual plus 8 lug wheels. a tachometer, full body panels, no interior. It is a rolling car. It could be made into a restomod or something else.
I am looking for someone who who likes Pontiacs or large cars and is willing to take care of the car and repair as needed. I am asking $17,000 for the car, which includes the donor car and the 4sp transmission and a second set of 8 lug wheels. It is a fair value for a car that once repaired/restored would be a good value and uncommon at car shows.
interior in good shape overall. Drivers side bucket seat needs re upholstery. The top 1/2 isnt too bad, bottom is worn and cracked. I put a pillow there to elevate driving position. Front passenger seat no issues.
Rear seats in very good condition, small tear in vinyl on back of drivers seat, could repatch easily.
Console chrome good.
The vacuum guage in center console doesnt work, needs to be rewired.
The radio works but it not connected to antenna. Stereo and CD player in glove box, works
