The final iteration of the iconic Lamborghini Countach, the 25th Anniversary Edition, was announced in 1988 to much acclaim. As the most mature variant of the model, the 25th Anniversary Countach benefits from dramatically improved aerodynamics, vastly superior interior comforts, and, of course, additional performance. Horacio Pagani is credited with the dramatic restyling of the car, introducing numbers strakes and ducts to both increase cooling and introduce yet more visual drama.
For the interior, Lamborghini brought power seats with improved bolstering, standard climate control, and re-engineered steering assembly. With 455hp and fuel injection, the 5.2L V12 was more tractable than ever while still allowing the car to hit 60mph from a standstill in 4.7 seconds and attain a top speed of 183mph. Rally legend Sandro Munari revised the suspension and fitted wider Pirelli tires to help restrain the car's somewhat tricky handling. With only 657 produced, the 25th Anniversary Countach represents not only the most developed version of the Countach, but also one of the most desirable.
