1966 PONTIAC GTO REAL GTO!! PHS DOCUMENTED! This GTO received a
restoration in 1999. The paint still looks great, finished in its
original color Palmetto Green, code H. The black vinyl top really
accentuates the exterior color and it is in great shape. Looking
down both sides it is straight. All the stainless and brightwork
are nice and shiny. In the front the grill and headlight bezels are
original as is the front bumper. Wiper arms, mirror, door handles,
wheel well moldings and rocker moldings are in excellent condition.
In the rear of the car the trim, emblems, tail light lenses and
rear window molding are like new. The rear bumper has been
re-chromed. All the weather stripping and window seals have been
replaced. The door jambs are painted and glossy. All the glass is
in good condition. It sits on a set of Cragar SS wheels with a set
of BFG T/A radial tires. The factory black interior is in really
good shape and the front seats have new cushions. It has new carpet
and a headliner. The gauges and lenses are clear. The woodgrain on
the dash and knobs are in good shape. The heater controls move
freely. It has a factory AM radio. The dash pad is in good
condition, no cracks. The windows all roll up and down smoothly.
The door panels and armrest bases have been replaced. It has sports
factory front seat belts. The engine is detailed and proper with
its completely rebuilt date coded correct YS code, 389 ci/335 hp
engine. It features a 4-barrel carburetor, 4-core radiator, factory
chrome valve covers and correct chrome pancake style air cleaner.
It has new upper A-arm and bushings, correct clutch fan and shroud.
It also features power steering and factory exhaust manifolds. The
engine bay is painted and has a satin black finish. The
undercarriage is very clean and solid with no signs of rust or
patches, all clean metal. The frame is clean and rust free. The
body bushings have been replaced. It has dual exhaust with factory
style mufflers. It has its original 2 speed automatic transmission,
new front and rear shocks. The gas tank and straps have been
replaced. It has a 3:55 Safe-T-Track rear end. The whole
undercarriage is painted in a satin black finish. The E-brake
assembly is all hooked up and working. The trunk compartment is all
solid metal with a coat of black and aqua spatter paint. It has new
weather stripping, a spare tire, lug wrench and trunk mat. The
bottom of the deck lid is painted in a glossy finish and has the
jacking instructions decal. This is one good looking GTO! Same
