This 1966 Chevrolet Nova II is one stunning muscle car that will
blow you away. The Cortez Silver paint job is amazing, and when
sitting on those Chip Foose wheels, matched with chromed-out
bumpers, the front grille, and the rest of the bright trim, you
have a masterpiece. The stance is just perfect, the fiberglass cowl
induction hood fits right in, and the chrome exhaust pipes finish
off the look with integrity. With this Nova's big engine and
restored interior, what more could you want from a car except a
chance to drive it?
The black-on-black interior looks sharp, with silver paint and
chrome accents in just the right places to break up the action.
Nice bucket seats complement the rear bench seat and door panels.
The center console looks smooth, accompanied by an easy-grip
T-shifter for slamming gears. A woodgrain steering wheel pairs well
with a dashboard that retains its original configuration. Neatly
mounted to that dashboard is a Bosch tachometer, while everything
else-radio, climate controls, knobs, and switches appears to be
original. The headliner and carpet are in very good condition,
while the rubber Chevy floor mats add extra protection.
Original-style door sills, clean door jambs, and nice weather
stripping continue to highlight this vehicle's quality.
Under the hood brings even more excitement, with both quality and
raw horsepower. The 454 cubic-inch engine is painted Chevy Orange,
with chrome valve covers and an air cleaner cover. Beneath the
colorful and shiny surface is a block bored .30 over with Dome
Pistons, a Comp Xtrem Energy Cam, and a 4-barrel Holley carburetor.
Supporting this monster are an aluminum radiator, frame supports,
and a Rebel wiring setup. The transmission is a TH400 3-speed
automatic transmission sending power back to a 10-bolt rear axle
with 3.08 gears.
The front suspension consists of a Mustang II RideTech clip with
tubular control arms and adjustable coilovers. Subframe connectors
tie into the rear suspension, where traction bars with leaf springs
and shocks keep things stable. Bolted to all this madness is a set
of 17-inch Foose Knuckle wheels wrapped in 215/55R17 front tires
and 235/50R17 rear tires dated 2023/2024. The braking system is
manual, with Wilwood front disc brakes featuring slotted and
drilled rotors, while the rear uses drum brakes. For muscle car
sound, shorty headers feed into a 2 1/2-inch dual exhaust system
with electric cut-outs running through Flowmaster mufflers.
