This beautiful 1940 Ford Pickup restomod underwent a frame-off
restoration completed in 2020. All pictures, documentation, and
receipts are available for the restoration, which began in 2014.
The body's base color is maroon with metallic Gas Gold Flakes,
pairing exceptionally well with the chrome front bumper, grille,
wheels, and stainless steel tailpipes. Vehicles like this really
show their character with their large curvy fenders, running
boards, and other simple details that make a huge difference.
The interior is another place where the small details truly stand
out. The base color for the interior is white/cream. The seats are
finished with vinyl upholstery featuring ostrich inlays, and the
dashboard is painted the same maroon as the exterior. The custom
steering wheel is in good shape, along with the steering column,
which hosts the column shifter and lever for the tilt steering. The
dashboard gauge cluster carries a new/old-school look with
AutoMeter gauges. Mounted under the dashboard is a Boss radio with
AM/FM, Bluetooth, and Aux inputs.
The engine bay is neatly presented with a 350-cubic-inch
small-block Chevy V8. An Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor sits atop a
Performer EPS intake. The air-conditioning pump and alternator are
chrome, and the truck also features an aluminum radiator.
Stock-style manifolds route exhaust to MagnaFlow mufflers, giving
the small-block V8 its classic sound. Power is delivered through a
4-speed 700R4 transmission connected to a 10-bolt rear end.
The suspension setup includes an independent front suspension with
KYB Gas-a-Just shocks, paired with rear leaf springs and QA1
coilovers and shocks. For stopping power, Wilwood ported and
slotted power disc brakes are fitted on all four corners. The
wheels that set off the truck so well are 18-inch Ridlers wrapped
in 225/45R18 tires.
