Built for speed and tested in competition, this 1974 Jensen-Healey
MKII has proven itself in the Great American Race twice without
issues. Black paintwork covers the sleek convertible body, matched
with a black cloth top featuring a plastic rear window. The
roadster sports clean lines and consistent panel gaps throughout.
Factory 13" wheels with Dunlop 185/70R13 tires provide solid
contact with the road. Additional exterior elements include
strategically placed fog lights below the front bumper, a
functional rollover bar, and a single dual exhaust tip for a
performance look.
Inside, black leather bucket seats offer good support during
aggressive driving. The 4-speed manual transmission operates
through a console-mounted shifter for quick changes between gears.
Drivers will appreciate the LeCarra steering wheel for improved
control. Entertainment comes via the aftermarket Pioneer CD stereo
with AM/FM radio capabilities. The aftermarket air conditioning
system runs on modern R134a refrigerant for improved cooling on hot
days.
Black carpet lines the floor while the door panels show only minor
wear around the armrests. The dash gauges remain clear and
readable, completing the cockpit.
A 2.0-liter inline-four sits up front, fueled by twin Dell'Orto
carburetors for strong throttle response. The 4-speed manual
transmission directs power to the rear wheels effectively. Stopping
comes from power front disc brakes, while coil spring suspension
with sway bars front and rear keep the car planted through corners.
Extensive mechanical upgrades include a new clutch, brakes, wheel
bearings, timing belt with pulleys, ignition system, and dual
electric fans.
