Black paint coats the Brookville steel body of this 1932 Ford
Highboy Roadster. The lack of hood and top reveals the mechanical
components for all to see. Four 16" steel wheels with chrome caps
support this roadster, wrapped in Firestone tires - 5.50-16 up
front and 7.00-16 at the rear. Chrome-tipped dual exhaust pipes run
toward the back, adding contrast to the black finish. Every line
and curve of this roadster remains visible thanks to the open
design, showing off the classic proportions in their purest
form.
Inside, an oxblood leather bench seat serves as the centerpiece.
The rich maroon upholstery works well against the exterior black.
The dash features a glossy black finish with SW gauges displaying
important information. A floor shifter sits within easy reach for
changing gears. Door panels and carpet maintain a clean look
throughout. The leather-wrapped steering wheel allows for direct
control while driving, completing an interior focused on
driving.
A 315 V8 Hemi engine sits front and center, linked to a Ford
3-speed manual transmission. Three Stromberg two-barrel carburetors
sit on an Offenhauser aluminum intake, feeding fuel to the engine.
Shorty headers direct exhaust gases to a dual system with Smithy's
mufflers. Transverse leaf springs with shocks handle suspension
duties at both ends, with trailing arms added at the rear. A
quick-change rear axle and drum brakes round out the mechanical
package of this roadster.
