Combining extreme levels of both performance and luxury, the base
CTS-V is a unique car in the history of the autoverse. But, when
that posh interior is combined with a purpose-built Pro
Street-level of power, this 2012 Cadillac CTS-V 427 is the
equivalent of a unicorn riding Haley's Comet in terms of rarity on
the road. With its fully blacked-out grille and trim to complement
its Black Diamond paint and powder-coated Weld Belak wheels, this V
is a streetable weekend track car that feels and drives like
nothing else out there.
Inside, this CTS-V retains its elite Ebony leather and suede
interior. A center locking console separates the stock heated and
ventilated Recaro seats, while a padded three-spoke steering wheel
with thumb controls sits ahead of a three-pod gauge cluster. Power
seats, windows, locks, and mirrors, combined with air conditioning,
cruise control, navigation, power sunroof, and a backup camera,
offer all the modern amenities anyone could ask for. An
AM/FM/AUX/Satellite radio handles soundtrack duties, while the
classic analog clock sits high atop the center stack, making this
car feel like an Olympic sprinter dressed in a three-piece Armani
suit.
Under that aggressive hood, we find a massive Dart 427 stroker V-8
engine. This race-ready motor's build sheet reads like a car-crazed
kid's wishlist: Dart block rated to 1,300 horsepower, Monster M311
heads, LS gasket kit, LS7 lifters and trays, Dart cam bearings,
head stud kit, and windage tray. An LSXperts custom camshaft, RCR
race blower, 102mm throttle-body, dual Walbro fuel pumps, Kooks
headers, RCR mid-pipes, and dual exhaust round out the short list
of power parts. This car has dynoed an insane 968 horsepower and
1,028 pound-feet of torque on 93 pump gas. That number can climb to
over 1,200 hp when tuned to use high-octane race gas. That
ridiculous power is routed through a built triple-disc 6L80E
six-speed automatic transmission before being sent out to the
3.73-geared rear by way of a DSS aluminum driveshaft.

The 2012 Cadillac CTS-V 427 is equipped with a modified suspension,
featuring adjustable coilovers up front, while Weld Belak Series 02
wheels are fitted with race tires to produce maximum grip. Because
adding a parachute would make this car decidedly less streetable,
this CTS-V uses a set of four-wheel Wilwood power disc brakes to
help rein in all of that prodigious power whenever called upon.
While the base CTS-V is already an exceptional car in its own
right, this 427-powered Caddy has created a new submarket of
automobiles we are dubbing the 'Luxury Racecar', and as of now,
this is the only car we've come across that fits into that
category, making it truly one of a kind. Don't wait, because as
expected and on-brand, this car will go fast. Call today!
