Beginning with an original 1967 big-block 427/390hp Corvette with
factory air conditioning (one of 229 built), power steering, power
windows and power brakes (documented with the original Tank
Sticker), this Corvette received a no-expense-spared body-off
Resto-Mod build by the master craftsmen at Springfield Motorsports
in British Columbia and has been driven less than 500 miles since
completion. The car rides on a custom hand-built TIG-welded tube
chassis tailor-made for this specific car, which has been
powder-coated in red to match the exterior. All the underpinnings
of the car are modern components, including aluminum A-arms, power
rack & pinion steering, adjustable Aldan coilover suspension,
Wilwood disc brakes and a one-off set of polished three-piece Fikse
Aero wheels. In order to retain the original DNA of the car, the
power comes from a pro-built 496ci big-block Chevrolet V8 engine by
K&S Machine in Kelowna, British Columbia, producing a
dyno-proven 617hp at 6,000 rpm and 591 ft/lbs of torque at 5,000
rpm (dyno sheet included). The pump-gas-friendly engine features
AFR aluminum 335cc heads flowing a massive 410 cfm, Sportsman
Racing Products forged pistons, Eagle forged rods and crank and a
Comp Thumpr camshaft, fed by an 850-cfm Holley Quick Fuel
carburetor on top of an Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum intake
manifold with a custom tri-power-style air cleaner. Additional
under-hood highlights include a Ron Davis Racing Products aluminum
radiator, Billet Specialties Tru Trac serpentine system, Holley
billet fuel pump, Powermaster aluminum starter and polished billet
alternator, hidden MSD 6AL ignition system, a modern Vintage Air
climate-control system with polished compressor and a Wilwood
aluminum master cylinder. The entire engine bay has been smoothed
and beautifully painted to match the exterior of the car, with
custom-fabricated finned valve covers featuring the iconic
"Corvette" script. The big block breathes through ceramic-coated
long-tube headers into a 3-inch exhaust and MagnaFlow mufflers with
custom-mounted center-exit Corsa tips. The transmission is a built
TCI Streetfighter 700R automatic capable of handling up to 750hp
and includes overdrive for easy highway cruising. All this power
needs to be put to the ground, which is assisted by a custom
narrowed Ford 9-inch rear end with an aluminum Dale Gerry center
section and 3.70 gears, Bears Performance Products 31-spline
heavy-duty Street Pro axles and a four-link triangulated rear
suspension. In order to increase the contact patch and achieve the
meanest stance possible, the car has been professionally
mini-tubbed in order to fit the massive custom offset Fikse Aero
wheels wrapped in 345/40 tires. The interior has been fully
customized without losing the identity of an original 1967 Corvette
by the award-winning Lee Baxter Custom Interiors. Highlights
include a custom dash, door panels, seats, console, rear storage
area and a leather headliner. Red Dakota Digital LED gauges make it
easy to keep an eye on engine vitals and a custom small-diameter
three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel with tilt rounds out the
interior appointments. Thousands of hours were invested in the
paint and body, resulting in laser-straight panels and extremely
tight body caps. The car was finished in Ferrari Rosso Corsa Red
with a Crystal Red metallic Stinger stripe on the original
big-block Stinger hood adorned with custom "496" badging, mimicking
the font of the original car's emblems. This highly documented
build includes two three-ring binders full of build pictures and
receipts, a dyno sheet, the original Tank Sticker verifying the
car's original options and an NCRS shipping data report. ** PREVIEW
