INTRODUCTION: 6 times Top Flight award winner, Bloomington Gold
certified and Roy Sinor verified! Roy is a Corvette guru and wrote
a 7 page evaluation of this car. He strongly acknowledged it's
authenticity throughout. A list of ownership history is also
included. Factory born red/red fuelie car with born with tags,
motor and unit body panels!
EXTERIOR: Highly desirable Corvette coupe, more rare than a
convertible! Its boattail design is amazing. This one has an
excellent no hit body which was confirmed in Roy's report. It fits
very well, its straight, the doors click shut and the headlights
open and close properly. Repainted its original Riverside red
color. The paint is polished very glossy and presents itself very
well, it does have some age flaws if you look closer. All of the
chrome looks close to new. The glass is very clear, weatherstrips
were replaced. It's now rolling on a beautiful set of knock off
wheels and radial tires.
INTERIOR: This is also a factory born red interior car! It is
exceptionally nice, tidy and fits right. We just replaced the seat
upholstery and upgraded it to genuine leather. The door panels,
armrests and trim look new. The carpet front to back looks fresh
and fits great. The correct jack is under the lid behind the seats.
The dash pads, console, glovebox door, steering wheel are mint. The
gauges are clean and all work including the clock. It has the
correct 6500 redline tachometer for the high revving solid lifter
motor. The headliner and visors look fresh. Inside the glove box is
the pouch with manuals. Interior lights work. It also has optional
power windows and its correct 4-speed shifter.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Verified # matching, original born with
327-375hp Fuelie! Casting codes, dates, stamp pad, part numbers
have been verified by multiple experts including Roy. It is very
clean and proper too. Correct cooling system with dated radiator,
expansion tank, reproduction hoses and clamps. It features power
brakes. This stout motor gets its growl from 11.25:1 compression,
solid lifters, bigger valves, hotter cam, domed aluminum pistons,
and a Rochester fuel injection system.
UNDERSIDE: Very correct and detailed! Right down to the assembly
line markings and even correct part numbers on the shocks. The
suspension and steering was completely rebuilt. It's an original
metallic brake car, when the brakes were restored it was rebuilt
with standard brakes which are more practical for regular driving.
The original metallic brake shoes are included. The optional off
road exhaust is correct down to the protective coating, just like
what was slopped on at the factory. Looking up at the motor it is
clean. It has the correct starter, canister oil filter and lower
shielding. The trans is the original number matching Muncie
4-speed. The driveshaft was rebuilt and the factory stencil was
duplicated. It has a posi rear end which is not original. The
floors are pristine and noted by Roy as all natural factory
fiberglass, never painted or chemically treated. The spare tire
carrier is in place. The frame and chassis components are clean and
painted black.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to work it. This is so we can sell you
the best cars within reason.
CONCLUSION: Only 37% were coupes in '64, and Roy computed the
production percentages and narrowed this car down to 1 of 14
red/red fuelies with power windows. 1,325 fuel injected Corvettes
were made total in 1964! How many authentic examples still exist?
The documentation, colors and features really make this one a blue
chip collectable. Yes you can drive and enjoy it too!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
