Conjuring Up A Special Edition Vehicle Chevrolet Borrowed The Name From The Legendary 1963 Lightweight Corvette Race Cars Developed By Zora Arkus-Duntov, The 1996 Grand Sport Wore Admiral Blue Metallic Paint Offered Only On This Corvette And A Wide White Stripe, Both Reminiscent Of One Of The 63's That A.J. Foyt Had Raced. Red Hashmarks On The Left Front Fender Of The C4 Also Paid Homage To Identifiers Used On Three Of Its C2 Namesakes.

The 1996 Corvette Grand Sport Option (RPO Z16) Was Limited To Only 1,000 Cars Of Which 810 Were Coupes And 593 Had Black Interior And Of Those Only 190 With The Z51 Performance Handling Suspension Such As The Car We Have Featured Here. Included In This Package Is The LT4 Engine, Which Was Only Available With The 6-Speed Manual Transmission, Special Admiral Blue Paint With Arctic White Racing Stripe Down The Center Of The Car And Two Red Hashmarks Over The Left Front Fender Commemorating The 1963 Grand Sport Corvettes. Unique Grand Sport Badging Was Placed On Each Side Of The Hood Above The Side Fender Vents As Well As A Unique Chrome Plated Corvette Emblem On The Nose And Gas Lid.
