This is a truly clean 1947 IHC KB5 classic with the angel wing grill in great shape and a steel dump bed that’s fully functional. She was restored about 10yrs ago and is rust free all the way around and underneath. It has the legendary Green Diamond 233 Inline 6 cylinder that’s been converted to a 12v system and is rated at 1.5 tons. The interior is nice and all the original gauges are still in place. They would need a 12v to 6v reducer to work again but there is an oil pressure and temperature gauge installed. Oil pressure reads at a strong 40psi and it never heats up. There is a functioning heat system as well as a vent in the cowl and the windshield cranks out.
I’ve used this rig on my ranch over the past several years and went through the engine and had the generator and carburetor rebuilt, installed a new battery, greased every zerk, replaced the cap, rotor, points, plugs and wires. Used a detergent oil and ran through the system for 30min then changed the oil again to the correct non-detergent oil. Installed an Edelbrock electric fuel pump so it always fires right up and just purrs. All four of the rear dually tires are new and cost me over $2,000 alone. When the wheels were off, I went through the brakes and had the shoes redone at a cost of $600. I also removed the rear differential cover, cleaned out and inspected the gears and filled with fresh fluids.
She is ready for her new home and to continue working or I’ve seen the dump bed removed and a 9- foot truck bed installed for a truly awesome looking truck.
