It's often said that a picture is worth a thousand words. In the
case of this 1925 Ford T-Bucket, we're not sure if even that will
be enough to fully appreciate it. With just 4,690 miles on its
odometer since it was built, this fully painted yellow roadster
offers just one entry door on the passenger side, and a windshield
that is taller than the average hot rod's of this era, so you can
enjoy the ride without your face getting wind-blasted for the
entirety of the ride. Red accent pinstriping adds a subtle bit of
flare, but don't ask about a roof because you won't find one, nor
should you need it.
Hop inside this hot rod (literally), and you're treated to a custom
tan vinyl interior featuring a pair of bucket seats to hold both
driver and passenger in place. A small, fat-rimmed Grant custom
steering wheel sits ahead of a five-pod set of Dolphin gauges,
while a Dual brand AM/FM/CD/USB/AUX head unit is mounted under the
dash, sending tunes through the Kicker speakers mounted on either
side of the cabin. Luggage can be stowed on top of the trunk (if
properly tied down), because both the aluminum fuel tank and
battery are using all of the available space inside for better
weight distribution.
Typically, we'd say "under the hood", but in this case, no hood is
necessary. So, up front, we find a 350 cubic-inch GM V-8 engine.
Outfitted with a single four-barrel Edelbrock carburetor and an
aluminum intake to feed and a set of long tubes connected to those
beautiful side pipes to expel spent gases, this engine sounds even
better than it looks. Power is routed through a TH350 three-speed
automatic transmission before being sent out to the ten-bolt rear
that transfers power to the pavement via a set of fifteen-inch
American Racing Torq Thrust wheels shod in wide 275/60R-15 BFG
rubber. At the same time, a narrower set of 195/60R-15 Veento G-3
tires handles unassisted steering duties up front.
