This 1986 Jeep CJ-7 is a really cool, really clean, well built Jeep
that the last owner owned for 30 + Years. He did a lot of cool
upgrades to make this a fun and reliable Jeep. This was his baby
and a labor of love for him over the years. This is an all steel
Jeep that spent its life in California. The body on this Jeep is
extremely clean and straight. It was repainted at some point in its
original color of Blue Metallic (Great Color) and the paint still
looks nice. The tub is all steel and we found no rust issues
anywhere. It has a factory hard top with hard doors and racks. It
has an aftermarket rear bumper with full size spare that swings
away. It has an aftermarket front bumper with a Warn 8,000 pound
winch that is working and Led lights. There is also an LED light
bar.
The interior is also nice. It has aftermarket Corbeau heat seats
that recline in the front. The rear seat is factory. The door
panels, dash, and carpet all appear original and are nice. It has
the factory roll bar and pro comp gauges. This Jeep was never taken
off road except for some minor two tracking. The headlights,
taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all working. The
gauges all work. The horn works (air horn). The windshield wipers,
heat, and stereo are also working.
Mechanically this Jeep is excellent!! It runs and drives awesome!
It had an engine swap around 1,000 miles ago and was upgraded with
a LS 5.3L Vortec engine that came out of a 2006 vehicle. It was
purchased from BD Turnkey Engines (have receipts). The engine had
76,000 miles at time of install. It was Dyno-Tuned at 338 HP and
348 Torque. It runs excellent. It has headers and dual flowmaster
exhaust and it also has an aluminum radiator with electric fans. It
has the 4L60E Automatic Transmission that shifts great. It has 46K
on the transmission and was resealed when installed. It is mated to
the Dana 300 transfer case and the 4WD works like it should. When
installed they added new custom driveshafts from Tom Woods. The
rear axle was upgraded to a Dana 44 with 4.88 gears, chrome moly
axle shafts, and ARB air locker. The front axle is a dana 30 and
was upgraded with 4.88 gears and it received new ball joints. It
has 4-Wheel Hydro-Boost Disc brakes with new booster, new master
cylinder, stainless steel lines, new calipers, new rotors, and new
pads. It has a new steering box with Hi-Steer Conversion so it
drives down the road great! The lift is a spring over axle
conversion with Rubicon express Leaf springs. It has front shackle
reversal and heavy duty shackles. This is all sitting on nice
aftermarket aluminum wheels with 35 Inch Goodyear MTR tires
including a full size spare. This is an excellent build for a fair
price!!
