The VW Beetle is one of the most recognizable and beloved cars ever built, with over 21.5 million produced and a design that spanned 65 years. This example was built as a convertible in 1969 and underwent a meticulous body-off restoration from 2013–2022, resulting in a show-quality example. Purchased by MS CLASSIC CARS in May 2025, it’s been fully serviced, detailed, and driven just 165 test miles since completion.
Exterior: Finished in striking Red over a new black canvas soft top with matching boot cover. The body is straight with excellent panel fitment. Every exterior component is restored or replaced, including glass, moldings, bumpers, lights, and trim. Rolls on chrome 15” wheels with VW hubcaps and Nankang tires.
Interior: Painted red to match the exterior, with restored/replaced components throughout. Black upholstery with red seat inserts, rebuilt bucket seats, new door panels, visors, carpeting, RetroSound stereo, VDO gauges, and both front/rear seatbelts. Restored front trunk with new liner, wiring, hoses, fuel tank, and full-size spare.
Engine: Powered by a brand new dual-port 1.6L flat-four from Darryl’s Air-Cooled Engines (75hp, +15hp over stock). Features PerTronix Flame-Thrower ignition, Bosch coil, chrome air cleaner, new exhaust, rebuilt differential, and 4-speed manual transaxle. Detailed engine bay with new insulation for quieter cruising.
Undercarriage: Like new, with refinished black floor pan and all-new steering, suspension, and braking components.
