Vehicle Description
This 1971 Chevrolet C10 Pro Touring Short Bed Pickup Truck is an
absolutely gorgeous, modified pickup truck with fantastic features
while maintaining a mostly stock look! Chevrolet's truck division
began producing trucks in 1918 with two models, a half-ton and a
one-ton. As the years progressed, Chevy trucks rose immensely in
popularity as the public recognized the utilitarian value of light
duty trucks. Simultaneously as demand for Chevrolet's light duty
trucks rose, so did customers' desire for their trucks to be more
luxurious, more plush, and more fully featured as they had become
accustomed to in their cars and while they were using trucks as
daily transportation. Over the next few decades, the GM marque
began offering higher trim levels in its light duty pickup trucks
largely due to customer demand. 1971 was a banner year for
Chevrolet as it became the first automaker to sell over 3 million
cars and trucks, with Chevy's trucks accounting for nearly one
quarter of the 3+ million vehicles sold. Additionally, the nearly
700,000 trucks Chevrolet sold in 1971 was also a record for the
General Motors division. Stylistically, the light duty trucks in
underwent a noticeable redesign the '71. New grille styling
featured an updated egg-crate look comprised of 5 horizontal blades
with 15 intersecting vertical blades that gave the trucks a more
"macho" look up front. Furthermore, 1971 marked the first time that
disc brakes came as standard equipment for light duty Chevy Trucks
which greatly improved stopping power and braking performance and
signaled an industry-wide shift to disc brakes that would become
commonplace through today. More recently, Chevy trucks have become
a favorite platform for restorers to build the classic trucks as
Pro Touring or Restomod likely due to their timeless design along
with the substantial availability of parts and upgrades. With
additional creature comforts and a vast array of styling add-ons,
these Pro-Touring Chevy Pickups are even more comfortable and
stylish, and are an absolute joy to take on longer cruises and
trips. This particular C10 Pro Touring Pickup Truck comes to us
most recently from southern-based collectors who clearly took great
care of this truck while under their stewardship. Powering this '71
Chevy 1/2 Ton Pickup is a 350 cubic inch V8 upgraded with an
upgraded Edelbrock single 4 barrel carburetor. Exhaust exits the
350 powerplant via a set of tubular headers and out through a dual
exhaust system complete with XLerator Mufflers and chrome tipped
tailpipes, that together create a terrific throaty sound. The 350
Chevy V8 is backed by a TH350 Automatic transmission that makes
this Pro Touring Pickup an easy truck for anybody to drive to the
local car show or just take on an afternoon cruise. This 1971 Chevy
C10 Pickup is absolutely loaded with superb options. With power
front disc brakes, bringing this gorgeous pickup to a complete stop
is easy especially compared to stock manual drum brakes. Power
steering is another wonderful addition on this tastefully modified
Chevrolet since the overall driving experience is much improved and
squeezing into a tight parking space is a total breeze. Further
helping with parking efforts are dual chrome outside mirrors so
that you can better see what's along side of you. Riding on a set
of 20 inch U.S. Mags Wheels, with 245/45R20 radial tires up front
and 275/45R20 radials in the rear, this '71 C10 has a great look
and even better ride! The chrome and brightwork around the exterior
of this truck looks great as well, most of which looks to have been
recently replaced. The steel Fleetside pickup box and tailgate are
in such great shape too that you probably won't want to haul gravel
in in. The all steel body has been completely repainted in Hugger
Orange paint that completes the exterior look of this fantastic
classic pickup truck. The interior of this 1971 Chevrolet C10 Pro
Touring Short Bed Pickup Truck is an absolute stunner! The black
leather molded bench seat looks to be brand new and is accented
with black and white houndstooth cloth inserts. The deluxe
woodgrain trimmed door panels, black carpeting, padded dash, and
custom leather wrapped steering wheel are all in fantastic shape as
well and elevate the interior appearance of this '70s classic
pickup. The interior also features a couple of fantastic updates!
You'll be able to stay cool even on the hottest summer days since
this Chevy Pickup comes equipped with upgraded Air Conditioning.
Additionally, you can listen to all of your tunes thanks to an
upgraded AM/FM/CD/AUX/Bluetooth entertainment system. The
factory-style instrumentation remains complete with a 100 MPH
speedometer, battery gauge, temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge,
and fuel gauge, and a column-mounted SunPro 8,000 RPM Super Tach II
has been added as well. Whether you're buying your very first

Short Bed Pickup Truck would make an excellent choice. Give
