Chrome bumpers and bright trim accent the Brittany Blue paint on
this 1966 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback. This fastback rolls on 14"
wheels wrapped with P215/60R14 fronts and P235/60R14 rear tires.
Dual exhaust outlets exit beneath the rear valance while tinted
glass fills the sweeping rear window. Chrome moldings run the
length of the rockers and frame each piece of glass. Every badge
and emblem shines against the blue finish.
Blue and white vinyl covers bucket seats separated by a center
console. The wood-grain steering wheel sits ahead of factory gauges
with GT auxiliary units mounted on the steering column. An AM/FM
cassette deck fills the dash opening with Pioneer speakers set into
the kick panels. Power steering makes parking lots easy while Ford
factory air conditioning keeps the cabin comfortable. Blue
carpeting runs throughout with matching door panels framing the
interior space.
The 289 V8 runs a Holley 4-barrel carburetor topped with chrome
valve covers and air cleaner. A C4 3-speed automatic transmission
connects to a Ford 9" rear axle. Power disc brakes handle the front
with power drums out back. Coil springs with sway bar suspension up
front work with leaf springs in the rear. Chrome tower supports
span the engine bay while an aluminum radiator and R134a converted
AC system handle cooling duties.
