and is powered by the dependable 351 Windsor V8 paired with a
3-speed Ford FMX automatic transmission. The SV-1 retains its
original body and features a fully functioning air conditioning and
heat system for comfort in any weather. Recent maintenance includes
new tires, new brakes, a new battery, a new radiator, and a
brand-new exhaust system. The interior has been tastefully updated
with fresh new seats and carpet, along with a beautiful Burlwood
dashboard and matching steering wheel. Iconic gullwing doors, crank
windows, and a full-length console round out the SV-1's distinctive

The Bricklin SV-1 was produced from 1974 to 1976 and was the vision
of Malcolm Bricklin, who sought to create a high-performance sports
car focused on safety - hence the name "SV-1," or "Safety Vehicle
One." Built in Canada, the SV-1 was known for its futuristic
design, highlighted by its gullwing doors and impact-absorbing
bumpers. Underneath, it was powered by a reliable American V8 and
backed by tried-and-true Ford mechanicals. Though only around 2,900
units were built in 1975, the SV-1 has maintained a cult following
due to its rarity, distinctive styling, and ambitious engineering
for its time.
