Starting with a fiberglass body and built over two decades, the
1937 Ford Cabriolet Coast to Coast now sits low and mean in black
paint. The tan cloth convertible soft top adds contrast while the
custom Boyd Coddington wheels - 17-inch front and 18-inch rear -
allow for an aggressive stance on 205/50ZR17 front and 275/40ZR18
rear tires. Frenched-in tail lights and a unique exhaust tip give
the rear view extra style. A removable black fiberglass hardtop
also comes with the car (and is currently undergoing
restoration).
Luxury and comfort fill the saddle leather interior. The bucket
seats flank a center console housing gauges and a clock. Wood grain
adorns the dash, door panels, and the steering wheel for a classic
touch. Modern additions include power windows, power locks, and a
hidden door for the ignition key. Classic Instruments gauges track
vehicle vitals. Entertainment comes via an AM/FM radio with
Bluetooth connected to a remote sound system in the trunk, which
opens with power assist.
For go-fast capabilities, a 5.7L LS1 V8 engine sends power through
a 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission. The suspension uses Air
Bags up front and a 4-link with Air Bags setup in back, allowing
for ride height adjustments on the fly with easy to use presets. A
9-inch rear end with 3.70 posi gearing helps put power down and
Brembo disc brakes on all four corners slow things down while power
steering makes driving easy. Dual exhaust flows out through a
custom single tip for added style.
