This car was Ramblers top of the line. Out of a total production of 391,366 cars that were built, 64,145 of those were Ambassadors and out of that figure, 3499 convertibles were produced in 1965 it was a brand new design and this 990 model has all of the optional features with factory a/c. factory front disc brakes, power top, rare power windows front and back, bucket seats, with a movable arm rest, adjustable steering wheel, wire wheel hub caps. it has a 270 h.p. 4 barrel 327 V-8. and the 3 speed shift -o- matic automatic transmission. They estimate that around 250 of loaded Ambassador 990s like this were produced. It has a new blower motor, a/c system recharged, Holly carburetor, rebuilt manual fuel pump, New front end bushings, newer top, new Hankook radial tires, exhaust system gone through, new alternator, fresh major tune-up, all of the fluids changed. New rams for the power top were installed. The factory radio even works! The car is very unique and I get more compliments on it from both younger and older people as you do not see cars like this driving around. It has a clean California title and is located in Northern California.
