Corvette Split-Window Coupe, designed by Bill Mitchell and powered
by Zora Duntov, remains among the most sought-after models of
America's sports car. This original 1963 Split-Window Corvette's GM
official production date was December 13th of 1962, according to
the NCRS Shipping Data Report, and it was delivered new to The
Glockner Chevrolet in Portsmith Ohio. This Split-Window Corvette
was ordered with and retains its Orignal optional L76 solid-lifter
high-performance 327/340hp engine, which includes a factory
aluminum intake manifold, solid-lifter camshaft and 11.25:1 engine
compression ratio, topped with a Carter aluminum-bodied AFB
4-barrel carburetor (List# 3461Dated December of 1962). It is
backed by a BorgWarner T10 4-speed manual transmission and a G81
posi-traction rear axle With a CE Code 4:11 Ratio, showcasing that
performance was a priority. The box was also checked for Code U65
signal-seeking AM radio and 670x15 Whitewall tires. It is finished
in its original Code 912A Silver Blue exterior and Code 490A Dark
Blue interior, which can be verified by the vehicle's original Trim
Tag (Verified and Cetified by CCAS). This Corvette retains its
original components, including the alternator (#1100628) dated
August 20th of 1962, aluminum Harrison radiator (#3155316) dated
November 1962, Harrison aluminum overflow tank (#3155416), aluminum
Winters intake manifold (GM #3794129), Carter AFB lift (#3461S)
carburetor dated K2 (December of 1962) and bellhousing (#3788421).
The engine shows a #3782870 casting number and an engine casting
date of k 28 2 (November 28th of 1962) The engine pad reads
3104915(correct VIN derivative for this car), with assembly code
FI03RE (F = Flint Engine Assembly Plant, 1203=December 3rd, RE =
L76 340hp assembly code).). Documents included with the sale
include the NCRS Shipping Date Report, owner's protection plan,
