Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics is pleased to present to you this 1977 Chevrolet
C-10. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind Patina truck with a new
crate engine and cold A/C, then you're going to love this Chevy.
This C-10 comes to us today with a heavily patina'd, primarily blue
paint job that stands out. The cowl hood is painted matte black and
features blue flame pinstriping. The black horizontal grille is
framed in bright trim and has a big black Chevy bowtie at the
center. It's flanked by round halogen headlights in square bezels,
and beneath is a chrome bumper with a decent shine. Up top, you'll
find a cab visor with a light kit. From the side, the aged patina
is on full display, and the doors feature faded lettering that
reads "AutoSmarts Rod & Speed Shop". Adding to the look from the
side are "Custom Deluxe" fender badges, dual chrome side mirrors
(pitted), tinted windows, and dual exhaust tips on each side just
before the rear wheels. Completing the whole package are 5-slot
Rally wheels with bright centercaps wrapped in Mickey Thompson
Street Comp tires up front and Nitto NT555 tires in the rear. In
the rear is a soft black tonneau cover, a heavily used and patina'd
bed, and a chrome rear bumper with a tow ball and diamond-plated
top.
Lift the hood to find that this C-10 has been given a new ZZ4 350ci
crate engine! The new V-8 is topped off with a black aluminum
intake, black "Chevrolet" valve covers, a 4-barrel carburetor, and
a black air cleaner (Spectre?) with a bowtie nut. Other highlights
under the hood include headers, power steering, MSD ignition, black
airhorns, an aluminum radiator with an electric fan, and a working
A/C compressor that powers a Vintage Air system. The ZZ4 is mated
to a 3-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear
wheels via a 12-bolt rear axle. Stopping power comes courtesy of a
new CCP master cylinder that operates front discs and rear
drums.
Open the driver's door to reveal an interior that is every bit as
unique as the exterior. The interior is dressed in blue snakeskin
vinyl, green snakeskin vinyl, and teal cloth fabric - with all 3
materials on the door panels, bench seat, and dash. Just ahead of
the center of the seat is a stationary cupholder that's also
dressed in snakeskin. The floor is covered with blue and green
striped carpet with matching floor mats. Rising from the center of
the floor is a tall shifter for the automatic transmission that
sports a green skull at the top. The driver is treated to a nice
new 3-spoke chrome and polished wood steering wheel. An 8K
tachometer from Jegs is mounted on the steering column, and on the
dash are a 100mph speedometer and a fuel gauge. Mounted under the
center of the dash is a trio of gauges from Autogage that allow you
to keep an eye on the oil, volts, and temperature. On the dash,
you'll find controls for the Vintage Air system that crank out cold
A/C and hot heat with a strong fan on demand. Also in the dash is a
Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo that powers up, but we've been unable to
figure out how to make it work. Ahead of the passenger in the dash
are power ports that sit just above the glovebox.
If you're looking for a cool truck that stands out in a crowd and
dares to be different, then you're going to want to take a hard
look at this C-10. The paint may look rough, but this truck is
loaded with all the extras that make it a pleasure to drive - cold
A/C, power steering, power brakes, a new V-8 crate engine, MSD
ignition, and a new radiator to keep things running cool! Give our
friendly staff a call and make this '77 C-10 your own!
