We are proud to present this 1963 Corvette split window coupe. This restored example represents one of the most iconic American cars of all time. It is in wonderful condition throughout and retains its numbers-matching 300hp 327ci engine. It also provides desirable options in power steering, power brakes, and power windows. There is a lot to like here!
Built in early March of 1963, this C2 received a frame-off restoration circa 2010. The fiberglass body is in terrific condition with excellent body gaps. The exterior received a high quality repaint in its original Ermine White. All chrome and trim pieces were also updated along with emblems, bezels, and lenses. All rubber seals, weatherstripping, and window felts were also replaced. The car was further fitted with (non-original) knockoff wheels which wear 6.70-15 Firestone bias ply white stripe tires.
The engine is the optional L75 rated at 300hp and is original to the car with the matching VIN derivative. It shows an assembly date of 2-15-63 along with the correct RD suffix. It is essentially stock with the exception of an updated starter. All ignition shielding is present along with the canister oil filter and dual snout air cleaner. The Borg Warner T10 4-speed transmission is correct for the car and appears to have been replaced early in its life with a stamping of WG2631 (7-26-63). The rear end is a CA code (3.36 standard) and appears original to the car with a date of 2-22-63. This Corvette is further equipped with both power steering and power brakes for easy driving. Note all mechanical systems have been rebuilt.
The dark blue vinyl interior has also been redone and retains a stock appearance along with aftermarket floor mats. Everything looks great including the seats, door panels, carpet, and dash pads. Optional equipment includes an AM/FM radio and power windows. Everything works including the speedo, tach, gauges, dash lights, courtesy lights, horn, wipers, washers, heater/defroster, and parking brake. Of course that also means the headlight motors and exterior lighting. But it also covers the clock, glove box light, and correct flasher bulbs for the parking brake and headlight warning indicators.
Mid-year Corvettes have proven to be good classic car investments with split window coupes leading the charge. This is one of the nicer such examples you will find. It not only looks fantastic but also has good mechanicals and preferred options along with its original L75 engine.
