This 1956 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith (FLW7) features four-door,
seven-passenger limousine coachwork by Park Ward and was initially
ordered as a Rolls-Royce corporate limousine and factory
demonstrator. FLW7 was used in the Royal Wedding of Prince Edward,
Duke of Kent, in 1961. It was sold to its first private owner in
1961 and spent a decade with an owner in Nottingham before being
imported to the US in 1978. That owner remained its steward through
1993, and, under subsequent ownership in 2016, the car was donated
to the Rolls-Royce Owners Club Foundation Museum. This is the more
desirable Silver Wraith with the combination of the later longer
wheelbase with its larger engine, power steering and automatic
transmission. Theformer owner has added about 2,000 miles over the
first six months in 2025 using it almost daily, ensuring that it is
ready to enjoy! Today the car remains in good driver-quality
condition throughout, with some age visible to the finishes, which
have been selectively redone over time. The front seat was recently
reupholstered in correct color-dyed leather, with the balance of
the interior remaining original. It is accompanied by a decanter
set for its cocktail compartment, most of its large tools, spare
wheel/tire, and jack. Power is provided by a 4.9L F-head inline-six
paired with a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission, and
the car is finished in black and gold with tan pinstripes over a
beige leather drivers compartment and tan Wilton wool rear
passenger compartment. Equipment includes twin SU carburetors, fog
lights, power steering, power-assisted brakes, rear jump seats, a
glass cabin partition, Wilton wool carpets, and an AM/FM radio. The
four-door limousine body was crafted by Park Ward of London,
England, and is finished in black and gold with tan pinstripes.
As-needed paintwork and touch-ups over the course of the cars life
are seen. The exterior is very handsome and in overall nice driver
quality condition. Exterior equipment includes fog lights, a Spirit
of Ecstasy ornament, fender-mounted side mirrors, semaphore turn
signals, and a chrome grille surround, trim, and bumpers. Dings and
imperfections are present. Black 16 steel wheels feature tan
pinstripes, and they are mounted with 7.50R16 Coker Classic
wide-whitewall radial tires. The car features power steering and is
equipped with an independent front and semi-elliptic rear
suspension with hydraulically adjustable rear shocks. Stopping
power is provided by servo-assisted drums. The cabin features a
glass partition, and the rear bench seat and fold-out jump seats
are upholstered in tan Wilton wool, while Wilton wool carpets line
both passenger compartments. The partition wall contains a lighted
burl walnut cabinet housing a cocktail set consisting of four
crystal glasses and two decanters. Radio controls are located in
the right-side armrest. The right-hand-drive chauffeurs compartment
has been reupholstered in beige leather. The three-spoke steering
wheel fronts a wood dash housing a 100-mph speedometer, an analog
clock, a combination gauge for oil pressure and coolant
temperature, and auxiliary displays for amperage and fuel level.
The five-digit odometer shows 50k miles, approximately 2,000 of
which were added under current ownership over the past six
months.The 4.9L F-head inline-six features twin SU carburetors and
sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed Hydra-Matic
automatic transmission. For more information and details, please
