This 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo is a solid-bodied, true survivor
finished in Gobi Beige with a gold vinyl top and matching cloth
interior. Originally from North Dakota, it was purchased in 1984 by
its last long-term owner and has been enjoyed as a summer cruiser
ever since. The car presents well for an unrestored example and is
ready to be driven just about anywhere. It sits on 15-inch Rally
wheels with good tires, giving it a classic and confident stance.
While the body shows some minor dents upon close inspection and the
driver-quality paint reveals its age, the overall appearance
remains respectable. Chrome and stainless trim are intact and in
decent condition, showing only small areas of pitting and small
dents, typical for its age. Power comes from a slightly modified
350 CID V8, equipped with an Edelbrock intake, air cleaner, and a
Brawler 4-barrel carburetor. The TH350 3-speed automatic
transmission shifts smoothly without issue. Underneath, the frame
rails and floors are in good shape. The original front and rear
bench seats remain in good condition with only light wear. The door
panels, headliner, and carpet are well-preserved, and the dash
maintains its original appearance. This 1970 Monte Carlo makes for
a fun weekend cruiser or a solid candidate for light restoration.
