1967 Mustang Terlingua Racing Tribute
Inspired by the winning 1967 Mustang driven by Jerry Titus in the TransAm series,
built by the Carroll Shelby team, this Terlingua Racing Team tribute is the work of an outstanding European craftsman who spent several years restoring and building
this beautiful and fast Mustang for his own pleasure. Race ready but at the same time street legal, it will fit both worlds. He chose the 1970 Ford color Grabber Orange. This paint is not your average race car paint, it is a perfectly laid glossy immaculate paint job, on top of the dead straight restored body, with carbon fiber hood and fiberglass front, trunk lid and custom wing.
Under the hood is a Windsor 427 cu.in. screamer, dyno tested to 501 HP. It runs on pump gas, guided by a Pectel control system, breathing thru an 8 stack Inglese EFI system. A Richmond Gear 5 speed does the transfer of all the horsepower via the McLeod RST Twin Clutch to the Chassisworks 9” 35 splines 3.25 rear axle. It hangs in a Total Control rear pushrod horisontal coil-over rear suspension.
You stop this beast with Baer disc brakes, 14” 6 caliper front and 12” 4 caliper rear, helped by a HydroBoost power system. Front suspension is a 2000 Mustang type with McPherson all-variable adjustment capabilities, and steering is by Flaming River rack and pinion.
Battery is in the trunk together with the race fuel tank with a quick fill thru the trunk lid.
You are sitting snug inside a 14-point race cage, secured by 6 point seat belts, keeping
control of your vehicle with AutoMeter gages and if you want to look how you did on the race track, just check out the front and rear Blackview dash cams.
No expense was spared building the fully functioning street/race car. Every detail has the highest quality and the fit-and-finish is outstanding. Zoom in on the beautiful welds and all the details in the close-up pictures. This car is also a hoot to drive, very fast and responsive, but also easy, you feel at home after just a few minutes. If you want to race, just flip a switch and the exhaust will pass by the mufflers for full competition effect.
You will smile from ear to ear!
