The Continental is a series of mid-sized and full-sized luxury cars produced by Lincoln from 1939 through 2020. The exterior of the 1st generation models was designed with European “continental” styling elements, including a rear-mounted spare tire, all of which made it the originator of a new automotive segment called the personal luxury car. The 1939-1948 (1st gen) Continental is considered a “Full Classic” by the Classic Car Club of America, one of the last-built cars to be so recognized. This particular example retains its original Moss Green paint that has held up amazingly considering its age. The rest of the car was restored in 2012 at which time it received a new 350ci V8 crate engine, a heavy duty chrome 12 volt alternator, Vintage Air A/C and heat with a chrome compressor, a chrome dress-up kit for the engine, an aluminum radiator, an all-new tan leather interior, power windows, most of the interior and exterior chrome was redone and it was completely serviced including tires, brakes and shocks. The car drives out beautifully and draws crowds wherever it goes. Based on the current JD Power values we would appraise this gem at $34,290.00. We are serious about finding a new home for it and have priced it accordingly so if you like what you see we suggest that you contact us before it someone else beats you to it!
