Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this absolutely
spectacular 1970 Jaguar Series 2 E-Type Fixed Head Coupe with only
69,705 original miles. The car has a stunning paintjob, brilliantly
refinished chrome, and a beautiful interior. It looks fantastic,
runs well, and is a pleasure to drive. It is finished in the
gorgeous color combination of Jaguar Racing Green over tan leather
interior.
This is an excellent opportunity to own a very rare and highly
desirable classic Jaguar. The market on Jaguar E-Type's is very hot
right now, especially for premium examples like this car. One could
easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase
price in years to come. The low mileage is verified not only by the
condition of the car, but also the clear Ohio title that shows the
mileage as "Actual." Please peruse all of the photos, video, and
other information below to get a true sense of how exceptionally
nice this Jaguar really is.
As a side note, this E-Type is not a dealer auction vehicle. We
hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our Classics come from
owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give the
vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and
encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car
inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We
photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel
confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the
Jaguar, just give us a call.
Exterior
The green metallic exterior is in beautiful driver quality
condition. As one can see in the photos the finish has dazzling
gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. The chrome and brightwork on
the car looks stunning with a bright and brilliant finish. The wire
wheels and spinners are in excellent condition with a great finish
and no curb rash. The Michelin X tires have plenty of tread left
and are sized 185-15. There are no major blemishes that have been
intentionally excluded from the photos, there may be a few tiny
imperfections that were too small to show up in the photos, but
nothing that is noticeable from about five feet away. As one can
see in the many photos of the underside this Jaguar is very clean
underneath.
Interior
The tan leather interior of the Jaguar looks utterly splendid. The
dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or sun fading. The
gauge faces are clean and the lenses are clear. The seats are in
great condition with no split seams or rips. There is just a small
amount of wear on in the typical spot on the bolster where the
driver gets in and out. The carpet is also in nice condition with
no rips, or holes. The door panels look excellent. This car has not
been smoked in; there are obviously no burn marks or aroma of
cigarettes what-so-ever.
The trunk area is very clean, detailed, and well-trimmed with a
matching full size spare tire and matching chrome wire wheel.
Mechanical
This Jaguar E-Type seems to be in good mechanical condition. The
inline six engine starts every time and idles smooth. The car
drives nicely on the road and at highway speeds. In the video below
one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about
70mph, braking to a stoplight, and going through some curves.
Please note that there are no vibrations and the car performs quite
well overall. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side
or the other. The transmission shifts well, the shifter is tight,
and does not pop out of gear. The clutch feels good. The headlights
work as do the radio, indicators, dash lights, and odometer work.
All of the gauges appear to work properly and even the clock runs.
There are some items that do not work such as the blower for the
heater, wipers, and horn. The brake light on the dash stays on. As
with many other older carbureted cars it is cold blooded, but has
started every time for us when the choke is used properly. As with
many other older British cars it does have some fluid leaks. Also,
the engine compartment is highly detailed and very correct as one
can see in the photos. Not enough can be said as to how much of a
pleasure it is to drive this Jaguar Fixed Head Coupe.
Overall Condition
Overall, this 1970 Jaguar E-Type Fixed Head Coupe is in marvelous
driver quality condition. The low miles, nice condition, the rare
body style, and the beautiful color combination make this car
especially important and difficult to duplicate. This Jaguar always
gets a ton of attention driving down the road. It is very apparent
that the vehicle has been well taken care of by its previous
owners. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and
sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.
Thank you for looking and please email or call with any
questions.
As a licensed and registered dealer in The State of Ohio we are
required to collect sales tax for residents of Ohio with a rate
based on the buyer's county. Additionally, Ohio has a special sales
tax relationship with buyers who are going to register their car in
Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, or
South Carolina so we are also required to collect sales tax. Please
keep in mind the you will not be paying additional tax and you will
not be taxed twice. Buyers from those states will simply pay of
portion of their sales tax to Ohio and they will then be credited
with that amount when they transfer the title in their home state.
Buyers from all other states will not owe any sales tax to The
State of Ohio. For all buyers, including residents of Ohio, all
other states, and all other countries, we are required to collect
necessary paperwork and have the current title transferred into the
buyer's name and address. This process takes two days at the Ohio
BMV and any buyer should expect to receive their title within 30
days of purchase, although it is usually closer to one week to
receive the title once we receive the returned paperwork. It is
required that we receive the signed paperwork before the car can
ship out.
