This 1980 Chevy El Camino is a really clean, 2 Owner vehicle that
originally came from out west before being purchased by the 2nd
owner in Michigan. This vehicle was never driven in the winter
(summer toy), always stored indoors, and has low miles of 68,000
per the 2nd owner. We do believe the miles are original based on
how clean the body and underside are. The body is super clean and
in excellent shape. The car was professionally repainted (GM paint
issues from this era) one time in its original color of Cinnabar
and the paint is still in great condition. All of the original
chrome snd moldings are in excellent condition. The underside is
super solid and clean and looks really nice. We found no rust
issues with this vehicle.
The interior is also in excellent condition. The seat has been
professionally reupholstered and the headliner was professionally
redone. The carpet, door panels, dash, and dash bezel are all
original and still really nice. The headlights, tallights,
brakelights, and turn signals are all working. The gauges all work.
The windshield wipers, horn, radio, heat, and AC are all
working.
Mechanically this El Camino is excellent and it runs and drives
great. The engine is a 5.7L 350 V8 that runs strong with no issues
or red flags that we found. This car originally came with a 3.8L V6
but the original owner swapped it out for the V8. It only has
around 10,000 miles on the engine as the last owner only put about
5,000 miles on the car over the last 15 years. He has a decent size
collection of vehicles so they do not get a ton of miles put on
them. The engine swap was professionally done and it looks
factory/stock under the hood. It has a QuadraJet Carb, HEI
ignition, and dual exhaust. The transmission is the original 3
Speed Saginaw Manual that shifts great with a strong clutch. Itches
a 10 Bolt rear axle with 3.08 gears. This is all sitting on a
really nice set of Factory Rally Wheels with Goodyear Tires.
We drive what we sell so that we can give you a first hand and
accurate report on how the vehicle runs and drives. Our pictures
are never touched up or photoshopped. What you see is an accurate
representation of the vehicle. We take consistent pictures and show
you everything so you can get a true representation of the
vehicle.
