This 1968 Plymouth Fury III is a well-maintained, super reliable
driver for anyone who loves classics. This muscle car was
originally owned by the Fire Marshal of Winston-Salem, NC. It still
has the functional lights and sirens located in the grille,
operated by switches on the dashboard. Along with those unique
features, the car comes with plenty of recently installed new
parts, maintenance records, and the original owner's manual.
Finished in yellow with bold black racing stripes and a black top,
this timeless classic will always draw attention at any car show or
cruise.
The interior is black-on-black and looks very clean with new
original-style upholstery on both the front and rear bench seats.
The steering wheel, column shifter, dashboard, and gauges appear
completely original, while three aftermarket gauges, which include
Water, Volts, and Oil, have been added to help you keep an eye on
performance. The carpets and headliner have been replaced, and a
new package tray has been installed. Original Mopar floor mats are
included and are easily washable. An aftermarket AM/FM radio adds
plenty of entertainment options to keep your cruise enjoyable.
Under the hood sits a 383 cubic-inch V8 with a single four-barrel
carburetor under a stock-appearing air cleaner cover. Power is
delivered to a 3-speed automatic transmission to be evenly
disbursed to the rear-end. The front suspension uses a torsion bar
with shocks, while the rear relies on leaf springs with shocks for
comfort and traction. Stopping power comes from front and rear
power drum brakes. The car wears P215/65R15 tires in the front and
P225/60R15 tires in the rear, all mounted on iconic American Racing
15-inch wheels. And if you roll down the windows as you drive, you
can enjoy the sound of the dual exhaust flowing through a set of
Flowmaster mufflers as you cruise.
