The Lincoln Mark VIII made its debut in 1993, completely changing
the game for Ford's luxury division. The 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII
we're featuring today comes in its original Silver Frost paint and
has only 59,447 miles on the clock, making it a fantastic example
of this unique ride. The Mark VIII represents the last iteration of
Lincoln's Mark Series luxury coupes, and the '97 model marks (no
pun intended) the first and only facelift this model would see
before it ended after the 1998 model year.
Inside, you'll find a cozy Dove Grey leather interior with
comfortable six-way power-adjustable bucket seats and a handy
storage console in between. The woodgrain trim on the console and
the chunky four-spoke steering wheel add some nice touches, while
the power locks and windows cover almost all of the creature
comforts. The original stereo has been replaced with a more modern
Alpine AM/FM/CD Bluetooth head unit, enabling smartphone
integration and providing a significant upgrade in musical
choices.
Under the long hood is a 4.6-liter DOHC "InTech" V-8 engine, built
to compete with Cadillac's Northstar V-8 and others. This engine
sends power through a 4R70W four-speed automatic transmission to a
3.08-geared rear end. Producing 280 horsepower and 285 pound-feet
of torque when it was new, this Mark VIII can hit 0-60 mph in just
about seven seconds-pretty impressive for a luxury-first car that
weighs almost 3,800 pounds.

Experience the epitome of luxury with this 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII.
Featuring a fully independent air ride-deleted suspension, this
sporty Lincoln reins in speed with the help of four-wheel power
disc brakes and ABS. Only about half of the Mark VIII models
produced for the 1997 model year-approximately 16,805-came with
standard trim. While it's challenging to determine exactly how many
remain on the road today, finding another example like this one
will be a challenge. With low mileage, original paint, and a design
that hasn't been replicated since, this is the car you need if you
want to make a statement. Don't hesitate-call today!
