Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics is proud to present this 1933 Ford Victoria by
Street Beasts. Street Beasts was a company that manufactured
fiberglass classic cars in kit form for self-assembly from roughly
1995-2010 (in the latter years, they began offering fully built and
completed cars too). This version of a '33 Ford Vicky was purchased
in 2002 as a kit for $14,345 and was finished and titled in 2008 as
an assembled vehicle. We do have some photos taken during the build
that document the process. There were virtually unlimited
possibilities when it came to powerplants, drivetrains, and overall
level of finish for these cars, and many builders chose less
expensive options. This little hot rod, however, was given
first-class treatment and it shows everywhere you look on the car!
Let's dive a little deeper into this cool build....
It all starts with a custom frame built by Street Beast, topped
with a single-piece fiberglass body bathed
in bright hot rod red. Up front is a gleaming shield-style vertical
ribbed grille flanked by a single round chrome cased headlight on
either side. Below the grille is a gently curved chrome front
bumper that adds some additional bling. Both left and right engine
side cover panels sport "Powered by Roush" badges and indentations
that give it a "going fast while sitting still" look. Curved
fenders melt seamlessly into a central running board with black
rubber matting. Rectangular chrome exhaust tips peek out from
beneath the running boards just ahead of the rear wheels. Chrome
windshield trim, door handles, and swan-neck side mirrors add some
more bright pop against all the red. Both doors open toward the
rear - suicide-style, and the roof is a 5-window affair with tinted
glass. Complementing the side view perfectly are grey 5-spoke alloy
wheels with Ford centercaps, all wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Nero
Tires. Around back, teardrop taillights with chrome frames are set
into rear fenders, which flare out at their bottoms and attach to
the roll pan, which matches their graceful curve. Other highlights
in the rear include a third brake light mounted in the rear window,
a chrome Perko gas cap, and another chrome bumper that matches the
one up front. A quick look under the car reveals newer-looking
Flowmaster exhaust, front and rear swaybars, Heidt's tubular
control arms, and QA1 adjustable coil-overs up front, QA1 shocks in
the rear, manual rack & pinion steering, and a chrome cover on the
rear axle.
Lift the hood to find an exceptionally clean and impressive engine
bay. Unlike so many of these Ford Vicky recreations that use Chevy
engines and transmissions, this car is proudly all-Ford! At the
heart is a Roush Performance 402R V-8 crate engine rated at 515hp -
and it means business! The engine was put in the car around 2006
when it was brand new, and it currently has only 1,698 actual miles
on it. According to paperwork that comes with the car, the engine
features Wiseco forged pistons, a double roller timing chain, a
Roush camshaft, hydraulic roller lifters, aluminum cylinder heads,
and 10.0:1 compression. The hearty V-8 is topped off with an
Edelbrock intake, a Holly 770cfm 4-barrel carburetor, a black oval
Roush air cleaner, and "Powered by Roush" aluminum valve covers.
The excitement doesn't end there, though; there's also a Jegs
aluminum radiator with electric puller fan, a transmission cooler,
MSD HEI ignition, and a compressor for the working Vintage Air
system. Exhaust flows from heat-wrapped headers through Flowmaster
mufflers before exiting the chrome tips with a rumble that will get
your adrenaline flowing. The Roush engine is mated to a Ford C4
3-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear end
with very freeway-friendly gears. With all the power, this car
needs some serious stopping power - and it's got that covered with
power front discs and rear drums fed by a chrome booster and master
cylinder.
Open the driver's door to discover a clean and stylish interior
dressed in tan and beige with red accents that match the exterior.
Amongst the many receipts we have for this car is one from an Ohio
shop that installed the custom interior for $3,745 back in 2008.
With less than 2K miles put on the car since then, it's not
surprising that the interior is still in amazing shape. The doors
are both outfitted with custom beige panels, and the headliner is
done in matching style. The doors offer armrests, speakers, and
controls for power windows. Up front are two beige "leather-look"
seats with a snug bench for two in the rear. The seats are
comfortable and in excellent condition with no noticeable
imperfections. Brown trim frames the rear and back windows, and the
rear kick panels are equipped with additional speakers. Shoulder
safety restraints are available for the front buckets, but the rear
seat has no seat belts. Floors are covered in good-quality tan
carpet with matching carpeted floor mats. Rising from the floor
just ahead of the front seats is a Lokar shifter with a black boot
that operates the 3-speed automatic transmission, and right behind
it is a handle for the Lokar emergency brake system. The driver is
treated to a beige leather-wrapped Lecarra steering wheel with a
working horn on a red tilt column. The column also offers a working
turn signal stalk with wiper and cruise controls that are
inoperative. Framed by the wheel is a cluster of working Autogage
gauges that include oil, temp, volts, fuel, a 7K tachometer, and a
120mph speedometer. The odometer reads only 1,698 miles, and the
title backs those up as actual mileage. The gauges are set in a
bright red dash that's also home to controls for the Vintage Air
system. This unit features a bright control plate that illuminates
as it should, and it cranks out cold A/C and hot heat with a strong
fan on demand. Beneath the HVAC controls is a Dual AM/FM/Bluetooth
stereo that plays your favorite tunes through the aforementioned
four speakers. Also on the dashboard is a knob that operates the
2-speed wipers.
If you're looking for a Ford hot rod with an all-Ford engine and
drivetrain, slick paint, high-quality suspension, and a comfortable
interior with modern amenities like A/C - then you're not going to
want to miss this '33 Vicky! This well-built ride is a pleasure to
cruise in, and it's sure to be a hit at car shows or anywhere else
you take it , for that matter! Give our friendly staff a call and
be the lucky one who gets to call this stunning car their own!
