INTRODUCTION: Body off frame restored with many upgrades! This
Yenko inspired Chevelle has features like air conditioning,
Hotchkis suspension system and much more that really makes it a far
superior car than what it was new!
EXTERIOR: It has a very impressive body that is absolutely straight
and all the panels fit very nicely. Upgraded with a metal cowl
induction hood and repainted its beautiful original LeMans blue
color without a vinyl top. All the metallic is laid out evenly and
it has a clear coat that's polished smooth like glass! It has
extremely faint ghost stripes on the hood and trunk, the more
obvious stripes are the white Yenko decals down the sides. The
glass has all been replaced and they are the fastest power windows
I've ever seen! All of the chrome and trim has been replaced and
shines like it's brand new: the window moldings, rain gutters, door
handles, mirrors, wheel well moldings, marker lights, bumpers,
taillight bezels, emblems etc. I just noticed it has real cool LED
sequintial taillights! It is sitting on vintage style 15 inch
Torque Thrust wheels that were often used on Yenkos back in the
day. They are wrapped in BFGoodrich tires, extra wide in the
back.
INTERIOR: The parchment looks beautiful against the LeMans blue. It
has sound deadener on the floor before the carpet was installed.
The seats were reupholstered and the door panels, armrests,
headliner and visors were replaced. The dash pad and instrument
panel has been replaced. It has a full set of factory gauges
including a tachometer and working clock. The climate controls were
updated with Vintage Air electric slides. It also has a tilt column
with a real sharp looking custom steering wheel. Complete with GM
seat belts front and back.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: That's a GM Performance ZZ427-480hp crate motor
with GM aluminum heads and intake, HEI ignition, Holley Sniper fuel
injection and coated headers. Dressed real nice with cast aluminum
valve covers. The front runner system includes a modern alternator
and power steering, air conditioning and a serpentine belt system.
Upgraded aluminum radiator with dual electric fans helps keep it
cool. It has power brakes, new wiper motor and horns, and a fuel
regulator. All the metal surfaces are smooth and painted semi-gloss
black. The battery has a disconnect switch.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and jambs are painted real
slick, inside is spatter painted. It has a reproduction mat and
weatherstrip. It includes a rally wheel spare.
UNDERSIDE: Body off frame restored, the floors are sprayed in a
color matched chip guard. Complete Hotchkiss front and rear Sport
Suspension upgrade with tubular control arms, fat swaybars, and
coilover adjustable gas shocks. The steering is all new as well.
Custom exhaust with x-pipe and stainless mufflers. Upgraded with
disc brakes at all four wheels. The fuel system was replaced
including the tank. Looking up at the motor it is clean and has a
high torque starter. The trans is a 700R4 overdrive automatic. In
back is a 9 inch rear end with 4.10 gears.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to work it. This is so we can sell you
the best cars within reason.
CONCLUSION: It has the 427, Torque Thrust wheels and Stripes just
like the Yenko, but it has oh so much more!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
