This breathtaking 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split-Window Coupe Custom is an exceptional example of American performance and European elegance. Built to the highest standards, it’s a decorated showpiece with prestigious accolades including the Big Oak Garage Award, Chip Foose Design Award, Goodguys Builder’s Choice Award, and the 2023 Chevrolet Performance GM Iron Builder of the Year. It was also a Triple Crown of Rodding Top 10, Goodguys Street Machine of the Year contender, and an America’s Most Beautiful Top 5 Finalist. It was featured in Wheelhub Magazine, Fuel Curve, and nationally advertised by PPG Paints.

This vision was created by Eric Black of E. Black Designs Co. and realized by Jason Smith and the team at Hot Rod Garage. The car debuted in 2023 and was purchased by MS CLASSIC CARS in June 2025. It has just 225 test miles and is now being offered for sale for the first time.

Originally built as a Sebring Silver coupe with black interior in St. Louis in January 1963, this Split-Window underwent a no-expense-spared, full custom build. The body was stripped to bare fiberglass and carefully sculpted for a more refined, European-inspired appearance without compromising its iconic silhouette. Enhancements include smoothed cowl vents, modified hood and fender pockets, tightened gaps, custom rocker panels, center exhaust conversion, and laser-straight bodywork. The paint is Ferrari Alloy Grizio, laid down using PPG products and recently polished to a mirror finish.

Custom details abound: a '67 front grille, Detroit Speed LED headlights, Porsche 356 mirrors, Jaguar door handles, thinned chrome bumpers, and unique 18” Atomic Machine 20-spoke wheels in Satin Bronze. The wheels sit on Nitto NT555 G2 tires—255/45/18 front and 315/40/18 rear.

The interior is a work of art, influenced by vintage Ferrari and Mercedes-Benz design. It features a creamy white leather headliner with integrated LED lighting, custom blue leather seats and panels with white stitching, wood trim accents, and Satin Bronze dash fascia. The original waterfall was deleted for a roomier feel. Interior equipment includes Dakota Digital gauges, Vintage Air, power windows/locks, Kenwood Bluetooth stereo with subwoofer, and custom aluminum accents. Upholstery was completed by Chuck Rowland Interiors with German Square Weave carpeting and a fully trimmed rear compartment.

Powering this masterpiece is a Don Hardy-built Chevrolet Performance LS3 (416ci) rated at 620 horsepower. The engine is powder coated in Blue with a custom Edelbrock Cross Ram intake, dual drive-by-wire throttle bodies, and fabricated air intake—all powder coated to match. It features a Billet Specialties serpentine system, Holley Dominator ECU, aluminum radiator with dual fans, and a custom center-exit exhaust by Hot Rod Garage wrapped in titanium DEI heat wrap. It’s paired with a Bowler Performance T-56 Magnum 6-speed manual, McLeod hydraulic clutch, and Ford 9” Tru-Trac IRS rear.

The undercarriage is equally stunning, finished in Satin Black and riding on a Roadster Shop Fast Track chassis powder coated in Gray. It includes power rack and pinion steering, tubular control arms, SV Fox coilovers, independent rear suspension, and Baer 14” brakes with 6-piston black calipers. A stainless Rick’s Tank with EFI and E-STOPP electric parking brake round out the mechanicals. The battery is a concealed Optima Red Top with remote charging posts.

This C2 Corvette is not just a car—it’s automotive art. It runs and drives as good as it looks. A new binder with manuals, documentation, and NOCO charger is included. For more info, photos, and pricing, visit www.msclassiccars.com.
