Hot Red looks right at home stretched across this 1969 Chevrolet
C10, especially with the smoothed front and rear roll pans
replacing the factory bumpers. That billet grille, color-matched
Gaylord's fiberglass bed cover, and clean body lines give this
truck an unmistakably tight street custom presence. Sitting low and
leveled with upgraded suspension, the staggered 18-inch front and
20-inch rear Foose wheels wear 255/55R18 and 295/45R20 Sumitomo
tires that hold the fenders just right. The relocated fuel tank
under the bed and power window conversion tighten things up even
further.
Inside, black vinyl bucket seats with a full-length metal console
set the tone. The dash wears a clean pad with Classic Instruments
gauges, and a B&M floor shifter commands the TH400 automatic.
Power windows and a power driver's seat add a bit of muscle luxury,
while a Kenwood AM/FM/CD/BT stereo sits center stack with auxiliary
and USB hookups. Cold-blowing A/C and newer carpet and visors round
out the package, with a billet steering wheel and thoughtful switch
layout across the dash.
A 350 V8 topped with an Edelbrock AVS2 carb and Assault aluminum
intake handles the power. Long tube headers feed dual MagnaFlow
exhaust, and an aluminum radiator with electric fans keeps temps in
check. Chrome accents hit the alternator and pulleys, with an
Optima battery holding down the electrical. The 3-speed TH400
automatic moves torque through a 12-bolt rear axle. Tubular A-arms,
upgraded sway bars, newer shocks, and a CPP power steering box pull
street duty up front, while coil springs and a sway bar sit out
back.
