The Firebird was produced by Pontiac from 1967–2002 and was introduced to compete in the ever-popular Pony Car market. New for 1996 was the WS6 Ram Air Performance Package which added the functional dual-inlet Ram Air hood which helped boost the horsepower to 305 and torque was increased to 335lb-ft. Other notable upgrades include the 17X9 inch wheels with 275/40ZR17 tires, a power steering cooler, Bilstein shocks, oval-shaped dual tailpipe tips and WS6 badging. This particular example was finished in Bright White, with Black stripes and Redfire Metallic stripes that look amazing with the Maple Red Leather interior of which only 61 were made. It is estimated that only 800 WS6 Trans Am’s produced in 1996 were equipped with the Tremec T56 six-speed manual which is less than 1/3 of what was produced that year. This means this is car is 1 of 20 with a Maple Red Leather interior and a manual tranny. It was also upgraded with T-tops, it has been serviced regularly, the tires have less than 1,000 miles on them and it currently has just 54,392 miles. With the exception of the wear items and its performance exhaust this car is completely original and unmolested. Considering the limited production, the extremely rare color combo and the incredible condition of this car we feel this is one of the sweetest Ram Air Trans Am’s you will ever come across. We have priced it fairly so if you like what you see we encourage you to contact us before someone else beats you to it!
