Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics is pleased to present to you this low-mileage 1977
Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz. This Eldorado represents the absolute
top of the line for Cadillac in '77 - the pinnacle of style and
comfort! This 36,252 actual-mile beauty comes to us dressed in
mostly original Frost Orange Firemist paint in good driver
condition. The color is simply stunning on the car, but a close
inspection will show some minor imperfections. Good quality chrome
and brightwork abound on this Cadillac with a hood center-spine
that leads to a standing wreath and crest ornament, eggcrate grille
flanked by dual side by side headlights in bright bezels, both
front and rear bumpers, wheel lip molding, rocker molding, body
side molding (with body-color center), door edge guards, dual side
mirrors, door handles, window trim, badging, and a stylish upper
body spear that starts on the hood and follows the body line back
around the rear window. This elegant car also sports a fully padded
body-color elk-grain landau top with French seams, rear quarter
windows, opera lamps, chrome trim, and "Biarritz" badging. That's
not the only exciting feature on the roof, though. This Cadillac is
equipped with the Astroroof option - a (working) power-operated
sliding tinted glass sunroof! The car is peppered with additional
luxurious extras like chrome wreaths that encircle the key holes on
the doors, an exterior thermometer on the driver's side mirror, and
a colorful crest that covers the trunk keyhole. Complementing the
whole look perfectly is a set of body-color hubcaps with wreath &
crest logos, all encircled by Hankook Optimo white-wall tires.
Lift the hood to find a very stock engine bay with a big 425ci 7
Ltr V-8 at the center. The engine is topped off with a 4-barrel
carburetor, black air cleaner, and blue valve covers. Additional
highlights include power steering, HEI ignition, and factory air
conditioning. Exhaust flows through cast manifolds, a catalytic
converter, a muffler, and a resonator before exiting the rear. The
V-8 is mated to a 425 series 3-speed turbo-hydramatic transmission
that sends power to the front wheels. Shifting is smooth and fluid,
complementing the "floating on air" Cadillac ride-feel. Stopping
power comes courtesy of 4-wheel power disc brakes.
Swing open the driver's door and prepare to be impressed by the
lavish interior dressed in Antique Medium Saffron (674) with chrome
and woodgrain accents. The thick, solid doors are outfitted with
carpet, vinyl, bright trim, and woodgrain and offer power locks and
power windows with locks. The driver's door has a mirror toggle,
while the passenger door is equipped with an ashtray and a rear
handle for back-seat passengers. The 50/50 split front bench
features a contoured pillow-top design with Sierra grain leather
that is amazingly soft and comfortable. The driver's seat comes
with 6-way power controls, there are fold-down armrests for both
front passengers, and the rear seat mimics the front in style and
quality. The rear seating area also offers a fold-down center
armrest, ashtrays, C-pillar lighting, and woodgrain side panel
trim. Looking up, you'll see a sliding sun-screen for the Astroroof
above and a tight, perforated interior-colored vinyl headliner.
Floors are covered in high-quality carpet with double-wide carpeted
logo floormats in both the front and rear. Up front is a crack-free
multi-tiered dash that offers a fuel gauge, working clock, controls
for the 3-speed wipers with delay, controls for the auto-dimming
Sentinel lights, cruise control, an 85mph speedometer, gear shift
indicator, passenger mirror toggle, rear defogger & power antenna
controls, an AM/FM/8-Track stereo, and automatic climate controls
that pump out cold A/C and hot heat on demand. Ahead of the
passenger is a glovebox that contains an original owner's manual
and sunroof instructions. The driver is treated to a 2-spoke
steering wheel with wood grain trim and a working horn on a tilt &
telescopic column. Around back in the carpeted trunk, you'll find a
working courtesy light, a covered spare with a jack, a large
collection of 8-track tapes, a service manual, some miscellaneous
parts, a new power antenna assembly (to replace the inoperative one
currently on the car), and several original dealer brochures from
Cadillac. As you go to close the trunk, you'll realize that it is
equipped with a soft-touch close feature - nice!
