Purpose: A modern, high-performance Shelby GT500 tribute that
retains classic beauty with modern power, drivability, and
reliability This professionally built 1967 Shelby GT500 Tribute is
the ultimate blend of vintage American muscle and modern
performance. Completed by renowned builders Motor City Grind in
Royal Oak, Michigan, this rust-free '67 Fastback underwent a full
rotisserie restoration and Shelby conversion using authentic Tony
Branda restoration parts. Under the hood is a Ford Performance
hand-built 5.2L Predator V8, the same supercharged powerhouse found
in the 2020 - 2023 GT500, producing a staggering 760 horsepower.
It's backed by a Tremec Magnum 6-speed transmission with a McLeod
dual disc clutch and Quick Time bellhousing, making it just as fun
to drive as it is to admire.Handling and stopping power are just as
serious: a full MTF C6 subframe and QA1 coilovers up front, Chris
Alston G-Link rear suspension with a Currie 9 rear and 3.89 gears,
and massive Wilwood 6-piston front and 4-piston rear brakes with
electric assist. Custom 18 Vintage American Racing wheels wrapped
in Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires complete the aggressive stance.
The exhaust sings through full-length MTF stainless headers and a
custom stainless system with Roush mufflers and active
exhaust.Inside, the cabin keeps its vintage vibe with modern
touches like a Dakota Digital retro gauge cluster, MoMo
leather-wrapped steering wheel, IDIDIT tilt column, Shelby-badged
leather bolstered seats, billet pedals, and a factory-appearing A/C
and heating system. Even the original-style power windows were
retained for a period-correct feel. Custom tri-coat paint with
painted stripes under clear, Raptor-lined underbody, and full sound
deadening ensure show-quality presentation and on-road
comfort.Built with exceptional attention to detail and modern
performance in mind, this GT500 Tribute drives like Carroll Shelby
would have wantedraw power, razor-sharp handling, and reliable
functionality. A truly one-of-a-kind restomod that blends the soul
of the '60s with the muscle of today.
