Chassis No. ZHWEM6ZD4NLA11604
For those select Lamborghini clients who found the marque's
street-legal models insufficiently extreme-or perhaps had already
conquered the competition aboard Huracn Super Trofeo and GT3
machinery-Lamborghini's motorsport division set to work on a new
offering. Introduced in July 2020, the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12
was unveiled as the marque's most extreme track-only offering to
date, joining the ranks of Ferrari's FXX program and Aston Martin's
Valkyrie AMR Pro in an ultra-exclusive market of track-only
hypercars. A mere 40 examples would be produced worldwide,
conceived under FIA prototype safety standards and crafted by
Lamborghini's motorsport division, Squadra Corse, in partnership
with Centro Stile.
At its core rested the Aventador SVJ's 60-degree, 6.5-liter V12
rotated 180 degrees to fit a new six-speed Xtrac sequential gearbox
mounted transversely at the rear, which acted as a stressed member
of the chassis. Thanks to a prominent snorkel scoop on the roof
feeding air to the engine intake manifold, the V12's output reached
approximately 830 PS (819?horsepower) at 8,500 rpm-making it
Lamborghini's most powerful naturally aspirated engine to date. In
place of the Aventador's all-wheel drive system, this epic power
was channeled to the rear wheels only.
Every element of the Essenza SCV12's exterior, stylistically and
aerodynamically, served to pin down this monstrous output, with
Mitja Borkert, Head of Lamborghini Centro Stile saying of the
design, "[it is] extreme but stylistically very clean, as a real
racing car should be." Dual front splitters and underbody tunnels
channeled air under the car, while dual-inlets and a center rib in
the hood directed air to the roof-top intake. In the rear, a huge
adjustable double-profile wing and a deep diffuser worked in
tandem. The result was a staggering 2,650?pounds of downforce at
about 155?mph, comparable to an LMP1 prototype racer. Completing
this FIA-approved package were Brembo brake calipers and
carbon-ceramic discs, visible through lightweight magnesium 19-inch
front and 20-inch rear wheels shod in Pirelli slick tires.
To match the SCV12's exclusivity, Lamborghini debuted a boutique
ownership program for its 40 fortunate buyers. Access to the
Essenza SCV12 club included two years of storage at a
showroom-style garage housed in a private hangar at Sant'Agata
Bolognese, with around the clock security monitoring and
"Lamborghini Squadra Corse Drivers Lab" facilities, offering
athletic training programs akin to those followed by the official
Lamborghini racing drivers. The primary advantage of SCV12 club
access was an invitation to around five exclusive track-day events
each season, allowing owners to unleash their hypercars on FIA
Grade 1 homologated circuits under the tutelage of Squadra Corse
luminaries such as five-time Le Mans winner Emanuele Pirro and
factory driver Marco Mapelli.
This year's SCV12 club calendar has already hosted two "arrive and
drive" events at Autodromo Nazionale Monza in late-April and
Balaton Park Circuit in mid-July, with upcoming events being
scheduled at Circuit de Barcelona alongside the Super Trofeo
Official Tests on 2-3 October, and Misano World Circuit together
with the Super Trofeo World Finals on 8-9 November. Additionally,
this car remains eligible for participation in the final SCV12 club
season, which will feature a yet-to-be-announced schedule of
European track-day events in 2026. The remarkable offering
presented here, chassis 11604, therefore provides the opportunity
to immediately exercise the SCV12 exactly as intended-on
world-class tracks with the full support of the Squadra Corse
technical team (single event for €35.000 plus VAT, or four events
per year for €90.000 plus VAT). However, should you find yourself
in close proximity to a different venue of your choosing,
Lamborghini can, for an additional fee, dispatch the car and its
dedicated crew anywhere in the world upon request.
The Essenza SCV12 presented here is a virtually brand-new example
of Lamborghini's ultra exclusive track-only hypercar, built as one
of only 40 examples worldwide and one of just seven delivered to
the United States. It was completed in 2021 as a 2022 model-year
car and dispatched new to Lamborghini Salt Lake City in Jordan,
Utah. The exterior is draped in the Ad Personam shade of Rosso
Scintilla, a deep metallic red that beautifully accentuates the
car's aggressive louvers and flares, with number 63 adorning the
front nose and both doors. Notably, this chassis boasts a
one-of-one factory option: the exposed, gloss carbon-fiber engine
cover, rear wing, and mirror housings have been tinted with a
stunning crimson hue. Such tinted carbon-fiber trim is only found
on this chassis, making 11604 a truly singular offering among its
peers.
The car's factory-fresh presentation continues with its Nero Cosmus
Alcantara upholstery and FIA-homologated OMP carbon-fiber racing
seats. While the interior currently features a three-spoke
leather-wrapped OMP steering wheel, the original laminated-carbon
yoke steering wheel and travel case are included in the sale.
Additionally, the car comes complete with a new personalized OMP
racing suit that will be custom-tailored to the next fortunate
owner, ensuring they can take full advantage of the remaining SCV12
events available to them. At the time of cataloging, the consignor
reports that in their care, the car has only ever been turned over
twice and is offered with single-digit delivery miles, therefore
presenting as a showroom-fresh, unraced example awaiting its track
debut. Chassis 11604 represents not only the pinnacle of
Lamborghini's track-only hypercar program, but the chance to
experience its performance with immediate access to the SCV12
club's global calendar of factory-supported track days at
Barcelona, Misano, and beyond.
