Super Clean 1983 Porsche 944 2.5L Race or Track Car. Raced in SOVREN Historics and ITS Classes
I race the car 2 or 3 times a year in SOVREN Historics races in the PNW (light usage). The car is very competitive and did a 1:38:71 at Pacific Raceways in the PNW Historics in July 2025 on Hoosier R7s. Gamin Catalyst calculates the “optimal” lap time” at 1:37:49 (see attached video). Car can also be rced in SCCA/NASA in the PRO44 or ITS class with a weight limit of 2575 lbs.
I bought the car in 2022. Key improvements (performed by race car mechanics) during my ownership: in 2021 installed new race seat, new timing belt, and new exhaust (Flowmaster). In the winter of 2024/25 new clutch, rewired the entire car (super clean), installed lightweight alternator and battery. Regular oil and diff fluid changes, new spark plugs, etc.
The previous owner bought the car in 2019 and made some upgrades (aluminum door and floor panels, martini livery which looks great), but only raced 3 races / 3 track days between 2019 and 2022 due to COVID. He decided to sell as he moved to another home that was 3-4h away from nearest track.
Origannly built by Greg Fordahl at Fordahl Motorsports in Bellevue, WA (… he was a race engineer at Alex Job Racing, Brumos Racing, 311RS Motorsport). The roll-cage was done by Dave Clark (8 point, painted in body color).
I am selling the car to focus my racing on Spec Miata.
