This factory Chevelle Super Sport was ordered with GM’s legendary “LS5” 454CI Big Block V8 engine and it is mated to a Muncie “M21” close ratio 4-speed manual transmission. At the rear is a 12 bolt 3.31 Posi Traction unit, this ideal axle ratio maximizes the power and torque of the big 454 while maintaining the ability to cruise comfortably at today’s highway speeds.
This comprehensive frame-off restoration was performed several years ago and shows today as if it were only just recently completed. This is an exceptionally nice example with excellent mechanicals and handling characteristics, deep exterior finish, consistent panel fitment and gaps, proper SS stripes, Firestone Wide-O-Oval raised white letter tires on correct 14” SS wheels and the with finishing touch of course for any SS, the iconic Cowl Induction Hood.
