For the 1967 model year, the Belvedere was Plymouth's entry into
the intermediate sized market competing against models such as
Ford's Fairlane and Chevrolet's Chevelle. The Belvedere was
available in a number of different body styles and trim levels to
meet the various needs of the new car buyers. One trim package that
is rarely seen, and very few know about, is the Silver Special trim
package. The Belvedere Silver Special package was a one-year
offering for 1967 that superseded the Belvedere II trim package and
added an unique Black and Silver vinyl interior, as well as the
GTX's wheel molding trim and drip rail trim. This 1967 Plymouth
Belvedere II is one of these very rare Silver Special equipped
Belvedere's with reportedly a mere 21,500 original miles. This
Belvedere II Silver Special is in overall very good condition for
the age and benefits from a repaint in its original Gold Metallic
exterior paint. The Belvedere's Gold Metallic exterior shines very
well and is in very good condition throughout. Complimenting the
Belvedere II's Gold Metallic exterior is its factory chrome and
stainless trim, factory V8 hood emblem, factory "Belvedere II"
badges, Silver metallic pinstripe and period correct Mopar magnum
500's wrapped in raised white letter BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
This beautiful Belvedere II Silver Special still retains its
factory original Black and Silver vinyl interior that is in
excellent condition for the age. Powering this rare Belvedere II is
a well-built, fuel-injected 360 cubic inch V8 backed by its 3-speed
automatic transmission. The freshly built 360 cubic inch V8 has
been nicely upgraded with Hooker long tube headers, aluminum heads,
Edelbrock mild rise EFI intake manifold, Edelbrock electronic
fuel-injection, and aluminum radiator w/ electric puller fan. Both
the engine and transmission perform just like they should and have
no issues pulling this great muscle car down the road with ease.
This Plymouth Belvedere II is nicely equipped with features such
as: power steering, power front disc brakes, tinted glass, Optimus
AM/FM stereo w/ cassette player, aftermarket Grant steering wheel,
heater/defrost, and variable speed wipers. Included with the sale
of this Belvedere II Silver Special is a collection of receipts and
records, shop manuals, and a partial broadcast sheet. If you are in
the market for a rare and nicely upgraded piece of Mopar history
that is turn-key ready to enjoy and would present very well at any
local car show or cruise-in, then you will want to take a very
close look at this 1967 Plymouth Belvedere II Silver Special.
