FAQ answers based on inquiries I have received:
- Rebuilt engine from January 2010 has approximately 4k miles on it with no run issues. It was a west Texas rebuild and is well documented on paper.
- Floor pans are listed as installed June 2009.
- It does have a heavy duty oil cooler to support the larger displacement engine.
- The clutch and pressure plate was installed in September 2014 and odometer had 41K on it. Shifter and boot replaced then but no mention of transmission overhaul at that time. Transmission is period correct and shifts crisply with no grinding.
- Previous owner painted her a dark orange - original was the VW pastel orange. I find zero fill or Bondo spots with a magnet. It is a nice body and frame. Painting is glossy and average with only minor overspray.
- Window and door rubber seals are average for the age.
- Refreshed factory badges and new era-correct custom floor mats along with new lap belts were added.
- This vehicle has been babied by all owners and shows the care and attention it was given.
- Period correct gray loop floor carpet is in good condition.
This is a dry climate car that was transported by truck from Texas to Michigan in 2024. Clean Texas title in hand. Garage kept. Driven on sunny days only.
