This is an unrestored, highly original 1978 Indianapolis 500 Pacecar. It is #761 of the 6,502 produced. It features the original, numbers-matching L-82 350 engine, backed by a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. It has 8,200 miles on it. It is equipped with Air conditioning, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Cruise Control, Tilt/Telescopic Leather-wrapped Steering Wheel, Silver Vinyl Interior, Contoured Seats, Alarm, Mirrored Glass T-Tops with static cling shade inserts, Front and Rear Spoilers, 2 Toned Limited Edition Paint, Black over Silver with an eye popping red pinstripe, It has an AM/FM stereo with an 8-track player in it that works if you have any of those lying around. Full instrument panel with a working clock. I have most of the glove box paperwork, i.e., owners manual, warranty booklet, etc... It has the original Goodyear GT Radial tires with less than 4,000 miles on them. There is also a set of Firestone 500s on 1979 slotted rims I use for driving. Upgrades include: New AC Delco shocks, belts, and DOT 5 synthetic brake fluid to keep the calipers and brake hoses from deteriorating. All the parts that came off this car were boxed and marked, if you want to make it original again. There is a small chip in the paint on the driver's side front fender. The rest of the body and paint look excellent. There is a custom-fit car cover that goes with it. This car earned the Bloomington Gold and Survivor Gold certificates in 2014. This car was bought new here in Davenport, Iowa, and has remained here for its entirety. I am the 3rd owner and I have owned it for 23 years. This is a great car, whether you want to show it or drive it.
