This rust free/accident free 356 B Notchback has all of its service
records since 8/28/1961 !!! The car was sold new on 8/28/61 from
Hoffman Motors Corp Park Avenue New York N.Y. Original sales price
was $4032.27.Purchasing docs include Purchase invoice and Bill of
sale. The original owner was a front man for the oil industry ,he
and the car traveled extensively. Part of the historical docs is a
note pad from Hotel Avila in Venezuela ,
.These notes include fuel usage ,oil services and mileage ,the
notes are substantial. The historical book also includes
registrations from mid 60s to mid 70s registrations in Wyoming,
Idaho, and Colorado as well as Florida .In addition to notes ,there
are service tickets from the 60s until he sold the car 51 years
after his purchase. The records pick up to second and third
owners.
Martins Classic Cars in Huntsville Alabama did extensive work on
mechanical items. The engine was rebuilt using JE forged piston and
cylinder kit Reviewing the undercarriage of the car one can note
all mechanical components have been refreshed-The car drives
FANTASTIC !!! Very tight and strong. The floorpans are original as
are the jackpoints ,battery and spare tire tray and longitudinals.
There is no rust on the body panels or anywhere on the car. The
body panels gaps are factory perfect ,body panels are straight
.Bright work is in good order. We do have a new set of hubcaps, we
enjoyed the aggressive look of the car with hubcaps removed.
This is truly a great opportunity to obtain a solid well documented
