"The Series 60 wide door model was defined by eight vertical
louvers on the lower rear fenders directly behind the fender break
line of the wide door sedan. The Series 60 model was distinguished
by exclusive extra wide full-length chrome and a Fleetwood insignia
on the rear deck lid. Standard equipment included self winding
clocks, dual range HydraMatic drive, improved directional signal
indicators, glare proof mirrors, and hydraulic window lifts. Once
again,four barrel carburetion was featured."

For auction, a 1953 Cadillac Series 60 4 door sedan showing 53,735
miles, but the true miles are unknown. This car is in barn find
condition but mostly complete. There are no keys associated with
this Caddy.
Exterior
One of four blues and 16 colors total, this car was bathed in Tunis
Blue, shades of which can be seen but the entire exterior is faded,
weathered, and topped with surface rust. Throw some clear on it and
call it day as this is the kind of patina shops are trying to
replicate. Trim is loose in places but it's all there, including
the eight louvers on each side. More corrosive rust is also present
in spots and of course, metalwork and chrome is either pitted or
rusty or both.
Interior
The leather door panels are coming apart but it's still wild to see
electric window switches in a 1953 even as cranks are present for
the vent windows. The big bench seat in front is completely torn
apart with its cotton stuffing fully exposed. The rear bench is not
much better and the package shelf has holes. Heavy patina and
weathering shows up on the dashboard even as all knobs, levers, and
bezels are in place. The large trunk is full of parts and
dirty.
Drivetrain
The car has a 331ci V8 that was originally rated at 210 horsepower
and topped with a 4-barrel carburetor. A Twin Drive 2-speed
automatic sends power to the rear axle with 3.07 gears.
Undercarriage
A single exhaust flows through a stock style muffler. Coil spring
suspension is found up front and the rear is fitted with leaf
springs, Drum brakes occupy all four wheels.
