1970 Pontiac Grand Prix Hardtop

The 1970 Pontiac Grand Prix is a classic American muscle car known for its blend of luxury and performance. It features a distinctive long sleek body with a pointed nose and bold grille, and offers powerful V8 engine options. Inside, it boasts a driver focused cockpit with upscale trim, bucket seats, and a sporty console.

Up for auction is a 1970 Pontiac Grand Prix hardtop. As Richard Rawlings might say, she's rougher than a stucco bathtub and in total barn find condition with no keys.

Exterior
Granada Gold once graced this car with single stage shine but now has heavy patina with fading, surface rust and some rust through. Though probably in need of replating, the front and rear bumpers, each an integral part of the ends with tail lights in the back and grille integrated in front, are in decent condition. The tan vinyl top however, is not, and looks like it went through Lion Country Safari and encountered a pack of rabid baboons. In truth, years of sun exposure has caused it to disintegrate. 14-inch Cragar SS wheels are onboard here.

Interior
The door panels still wear the GP badge, but the materials are shot. The vinyl and cloth bucket seats are in decent shape, as is the rear bench. A SunTune tach fronts the standard plastic dash and the shifter resides in a center console canted towards the driver and wearing a Model J badge, and it's pretty rough. The carpet, headliner, and rear side walls are all in barn find condition.

Drivetrain
A rough 400ci V8 resides under the hood, once rated at 350 horsepower, and topped by a 4-barrel carburetor. Behind it, a TH400 3-speed automatic sending power to the 10 bolt rear axle. Power brakes are onboard configured as front disc and rear drum.

Undercarriage
Dual exhaust flows through the stock style mufflers and exits through chrome tips in the back. Suspension consists of coil springs up front and a 4 link with coil springs in back.

Drive-Ability
This desirable luxury sports coupe does not have keys associated with it.
