1990 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Limousine
"Decades ago, stretch limos were a symbol of affluence, used almost
exclusively by the rich and famous. Over time, they became more of
a common luxury, booked for children's birthday parties or by
teenagers heading to the prom. These days, it seems as if hardly
anyone is riding in a stretch limo. While the limousine name has
stuck, the limo industry has shifted to chauffeur services in
almost anything but actual stretch limos, which have largely been
supplanted by black SUV's, buses and vans." NY Times, 2023
Up for auction is a 1990 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham limousine with
unknown mileage. Here's an old school ride in style stretch
limousine in decent condition offering a fun opportunity to get
your kids to soccer in a very unique way, while other potential
uses are limitless. This car cranks but won't start.
Exterior
Two stage Silver paint colors this long car with the Fleetwood's
standard front end and long hood. From there, B and C pillars wear
double coach lamps while the extended D-pillar afford even more
privacy in addition to the tinted glass. A vinyl top covers the
roof and surrounds the reduced rear window and behind it, an epic
90's boomerang antenna letting onlookers know you have a television
inside. 15-inch wheels are covered by wire wheel covers and along
with the metal accents and chrome bumpers, the car appears in good
condition.
Interior
Burgundy and simulated burlwood accenting floods the interior like
a classic steakhouse and all appears in good condition. There is
usage creasing on the front leather seats but the dash is in great
shape and a phone to communicate with your star passengers in on
the center hump. In back, real wood cabinetry houses a radio,
intercom system, and a television while opposing bench seats
provide endless leg room around the driveshaft hump and the ability
for guests to interact. Notable additions of chrome and mirrors
also adorn the guest area which presents cleanly although the
carpet will likely need to be cleaned or replaced.
Drivetrain
Under the hood is a 350ci V8 in fairly clean condition, backed by a
700R4 4-speed automatic that sends power all the way back to the 10
bolt rear axle. Power brakes are configured as front discs and rear
drums.
Undercarriage
Coil spring suspension is employed up front with a 4 link and coil
springs in the back. A single exhaust flows through a stock style
muffler.
Drive-ability
The engine cranks but we could not get it to fire.
