1975 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible
The 1975 Cadillac Eldorado is a two door luxury car known for its
large size, comfortable ride, and distinctive styling. It featured
a 500 cubic inch V8 engine, front wheel drive, and a variety of
luxury options. The convertible model was particularly notable as
the only new luxury convertible available in the U.S. that year.Up
for auction is a 1975 Cadillac Eldorado convertible showing 87,067
miles but true miles are unknown.
Exterior
This car wears its original Inveraray Green two stage paint which
retains quite a bit of shine. The car wears a tan canvas top and
wheel covers along with white wall tires. At the end of the
impressively long hood is a sizable eggcrate grille, chrome bumper
the fronts the fender with ornamental trim pieces, and dual
headlights. In back, Cadillac's distinctive, narrow vertical tail
lightsflank light bars in the latch panel over the chrome
bumper.
Interior
White leather with woodgrain accenting adorns the door panels while
the tufted split bench seat up front shows some wear on the
driver's side but presents well in the passenger seat and rear
bench. Woodgrain also accents the black dashboard where we find an
AM/FM/Cassette player in addition to the typical switchgear.
Drivetrain
The car is equipped with a 500ci V8, rated at 215 horsepower,
topped by a 4-barrel carburetor and backed by a TH425 3-speed
automatic keeping power at the front wheels via 2.73 gears. Four
wheel power disc brakes are also onboard.
Undercarriage
Suspension consists of torsion bars up front and a 4 link with coil
springs in the back. Dual exhaust flows through stock style
mufflers.
Drive-ability
The car cranks and runs on 2+2 only.
