Vehicle Description
1991 Chevrolet 1500 Sport Short Bed Pickup
If you spend even a short time watching car auctions, you might
notice that pickup trucks are climbing in desirability in the
collector markets. This includes sport trucks like the Syclone, 454
SS, and Ford Lightning but also once ubiquitous work trucks
including the Chevy C/K series. Whether restomodded, restored to
original spec, or survivor, trucks are at the top of the resurgence
list in the classic market.
For consignment, a 1991 Chevrolet 1500 Sport short bed pickup truck
with a title verified 30,941 actual miles, a one owner truck that's
been garage kept. If you've recently entered the market for a
classic truck, this 1991 1500 should be on your radar and we're
proud to represent this piece of 90's Americana!
Due to modifications of the emissions control devices installed by
the manufacturer, please check your local, state, and federal laws

highways in your area.*
Exterior
Glossy black two stage paint is enhanced on the Sport model by the
addition of red trim that encircles the truck on lower panels along
with the bold graphics that includes a red bowtie, SPORT spelled
out in striated graphics and Chevrolet emblazoned on the tailgate
in the same way. A front air dam and smoked headlight covers give
the front end an aggressive look and at the same time, demonstrate
some popular 90's customization. 15-inch chrome wheels are showy
and sporty and complemented by the twin chrome exhaust tips out
back. A black vinyl tonneau cover snaps into place and shades a
clean bed that contains a rubber liner. There are some chips on a
body edge and some scratches on the inside bed walls, but beyond
these two things, the truck presents immaculately.
Interior
Velvety red velour smartly covers the inner doors where a carpeted
lower panel contains an integrated storage bin and a red vinyl door
pull doubles as an armrest, and both doors are clean. Red remains
the theme as we turn our attention to the interior where the unique
velour bench offsets the pull down armrest for the driver, while
the passenger split is a wider section and belts are onboard for
three people. The seat itself is in just about perfect condition. A
four spoke black steering wheel has a column shifter and familiar
multi-function stalk on the left, all leading to a very linear
dashboard with a basic instrument cluster behind plexiglass and an
integrated AM/FM/Cassette radio and climate panel built into the
right side of the cluster. Interestingly, the cassette deck is
outboard, and located in the center of the dash while a Cobra CB
radio is mounted under the dash. The red carpet and vintage style
rubber mats complete this fantastic interior and the foam backed
headliner and visors, while showing areas of compression, are clean
and intact capping off a 1991 time capsule in red.
Drivetrain
Though there's a tear in the insulator pad, the engine itself looks
showroom fresh and spotless! Here we have the 5.7 liter TBI V8,
rated at 200 horsepower and mated to a 700R4 4-speed automatic.
Power is routed to the 10 bolt axle with 3.73 gears and power
brakes are configured standard for the era, discs in front and
drums in back.
Undercarriage
Other than some road dust and typical surface rust, the underside
is as clean as you would expect on this well preserved truck. Dual
exhaust flows through stainless mufflers and finds the atmosphere
through chrome tips. No catalytic converter is present in the
system. Suspension is the original coil spring front and leaf
spring rear.
Drive-Ability
Fuel injection means this black beauty fires right up and with a
healthy sounding exhaust, trots out onto the tarmac where it tracks
straight, offers gobs of visibility, and stops like the low mileage
truck it is! Really no surprises here and this surefooted truck
wears staggered sized tires with the rears dating back to 1995, so
we're not pushing too hard on turns. Meanwhile, all functions
onboard operate as they should. While Classic Auto Mall represents
that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we
cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of
your purchase.
Wow, what a find! Aren't you fortunate to have stumbled upon this
low mileage, one owner sport truck from the desirable C/K series of
the early 90's? We're going to put our money down on black and
wager that this one will not be with us long. When do you want to
pick it up?
